The extremely small HiLAN XS power system is one of the trailblazers of the new generation of miniaturised surgical instruments, reflecting the trend towards ever smaller access and the demand for improved visibility of the operation site. The HiLAN XS motor concept is the result of an un - compromising development effort. The objective was to design particularly small, extremely light-weight, ergonomic handpiece shafts and a novel motor concept, which delivers the same power as the much larger predecessors. 4 HiLAN XS Motors HiLAN XS high speed motor Fascinating Technology At the heart of the HiLAN XS system is a small, compact power drive an excellent combination of lightweight construction, simplicity and performance. Thanks to the new, patented motor concept, an extremely long service life with an undiminished performance and speed of. rpm at 8 bar can be achieved, without having to rely on intraoperative lubrication. 5 The first reversible pneumatic high speed motor This new HiLAN XS motor is the first pneumatic high speed motor that will also operate in reverse. This function will make your work even safer. When burring to the left of critical structures, a drifting of the burr towards the right can be prevented simply by putting the motor into reverse. In addition, this reversing mode permits intended necrotizing of the bone, e.g. with Rosen burrs. 19 Maintenance concept - Sterilit oil spray Lubricating the HiLAN XS system is a simple and safe affair. The motor and handpieces are sprayed with the Sterilit oil spray before each sterilization cycle. Complete lubrication of the motor and handpieces is ensured, making permanent intraoperative lubrication unnecessary.
