Cub Scut Adventure: Hw t Build My Own Her "Sandwich" One f the requirements fr the Build My Own Her elective adventure fr Webels and Arrws f Light is t "discver what it means t be a her." My first thught n hw t d this was t talk abut characteristics f heres. But mst furth and fifth grade bys have n interest in sitting arund talking. T make this activity a little mre interesting, yur Cub Scuts can build her "sandwiches." They make their her sandwich by writing a trait f a her n each ingredient. The ingredients are cut ut and stacked up t make a her sandwich! This culd be used in a few different urays: 1) As a Cub Scut tathering activity fr the meeting where the bys will be making her plaques, 2) As an individual activity, r 3) As a grup guided activity where yu talk thrugh it with them.

They'll need t cut ut each item, but it might be easier t have them write the traits n the items befre they cut them ut. They can write "My Her" n ne f the pieces f bread. Sme bys may have truble defining her traits, s guiding the bys thrugh a discussin might be best. Ask them t name characteristics, and write them n a white bard r a piece f pster bard. lf they're really struggling, ask them t name sme f their heres then think abut what makes that persn a her.
