Structured arund a series f events centering n relevant faith tpics f interest t yung adults and als serves as a cmprehensive apprach and spring bard t yung adult ministry. -What are sme circumstances that yung adults, starting with thse n yur cre-team, are facing, ie. in cllege, grad-schl, r in family/wrkplace, etc.? This questin culd be asked at the end f each speaking engagement r during yur team planning meetings. At the end f each Thelgy n Tap night pen up fr cnversatin r invite the yung adults t annymusly write their thughts dwn n a 3x5 card. * See sample evaluatin cards. Fur Cmpnents f Thelgy n Tap Strng Cre Cmmunity Cnnecting t a Small Faith Sharing Cmmunity and parish life activities. Invitatin Strategy keep is as persnal as pssible while using a diversity f means ie., texting, Facebk, Twitter, etc. - Face t Face Persn t Persn are the initial ways f prmtin. Other media resurces are the fllw-up t the persnal invitatin. Ex: Hspitality Tip: It is imprtant that the Cre Team emphasizes that Thelgy n Tap is a ministry t yung adults (ages 18-39) and that yur missin is t build a cmmunity that draws tgether and empwers yung adults t be faithful and integrated int the life f the Church and parish. If adult parishiners chse t cme, the Team may share that they are welcme as lngs as they understand that yung adults are the fcus. The Cre Team culd als seek the supprt f the adult parishiners t help integrate yung adults mre int the parish as a frm f fllw-up. Fllw-up Tip: Thse leading may ffer frming small faith sharing cmmunities that meet during the ff seasn. Tpics culd be based n the speaker s presentatin.

3 Small faith sharing grups can meet in a variety f different places, ie. restaurants, parish hall, r smene s hme. Other frms f fllw-up may include parish ministry prgrams, scial gatherings, r service prjects. Cre Team Rles & Respnsibilities Meet t brainstrm and plan the TOT series. Cmplete minr assigned tasks thrughut the planning prcess t ensure the implementatin f the series. Persnally invite friends and acquaintances t Thelgy n Tap. Attend each Thelgy n Tap event and cntribute t a hspitable envirnment thrugh a variety f rles; emcee, registratin, welcming cmmittee, etc. Cntribute t small grup discussin at each Thelgy n Tap gathering (if applicable). Encurage participants t jin a small cmmunity and participate in fllw-up activities in the area, parish(es), and/r campus ministry. Fllw-up idea: cnsider frming/c-leading a small Christian cmmunity fr 6-8 weeks f faith sharing (1.5 hurs/week). After each event, cntact assigned attendees and thank them fr cming. Hsting RENEW TT The hst parish is given the pprtunity t implement the RENEW TT prcess. A parish staff persn (r apprpriate ther) is chsen t be directly respnsible fr the RENEW TT prgram a crdinatr. A parish staff persn shuld enlist the supprt and assistance f ptential cspnsring parishes if apprpriate. (See paragraph n relatinship f cspnsring parishes belw.) The hst parish establishes a RENEW TT Cre Team. The Cre Team shuld include the hst parish staff persn, representatives frm neighbring (cspnsring) parishes, if apprpriate, and ther yung adults (including thse wh have n affiliatin t a particular parish) t implement the prgram. The hst parish establishes the budget that is needed fr RENEW TT events.

4 Included in the budget is the cst f speakers (TT suggests $125 per speaker). The Dicese f Tled cntributes $50.00 twards the cst f each speaker. Fr a $50.00 check t be sent directly t yur speaker after the presentatin please the fllwing t Kathy Haninger, khaninger@tleddicese.rg: Speaker s first and last name, address, and phne number. The hst parish ensures that the parish cuncil is kept infrmed f RENEW TT activities. The members f the parish cuncil may als be able t assist tin areas such as awareness raising arund the parish and funding. The hst parish shuld assist the Cre Team with the fllwing: selecting and reserving an apprpriate venue (parish hall/restaurant/bar/student center). printing lcal flyers, psters, publicizing the prgram in the parish bulletins, lcal press, and direct mailing t yung adults. Relatinship f c-spnsring parishes t the hst parish (if apprpriate) C-spnsring parishes shuld appint a staff persn as liaisn with the Cre- Team. Yung adult representatives frm the neighbring parishes shuld be chsen t be part f the Cre Team. The staff liaisn and yung adult cntact shuld wrk tgether and draw up a list f the yung adults in their wn parish. Parish bulletin annuncements shuld be crdinated with the hst parish s that all the parishes in the cluster simultaneusly annunce and encurage attendance at RENEW TT. Guidelines fr Selecting Speakers The speaker shuld be smene wh is either knwn persnally by the Cre Team r smene wh cmes frm a trustwrthy reference. Speakers must have Dicesan apprval a speakers list fr the seasn must be ed t Kathy Haninger, Yung Adult and Campus Ministry Crdinatr,

5 at least 1 mnth prir t the series fr lcal speakers and 3 mnths prir fr speakers utside the Dicese r State. Keep in mind yur demgraphics. Speakers must have an engaging style. Lk fr speakers wh can give gd insights int the Cathlic faith, Cathlic identity, and mral living - - Prving cntent, stries r examples that are relevant t their lives. Use a variety f speakers male, female, difference ethnicities, different ages; clergy, religius, lay. All speakers shuld have a breadth f experience. *see TT manual fr mre guidelines n the prcess f discerning and inviting speakers. Advertisement Guidelines When an advertisement is made ie. flyer, bulletin insert, Facebk Fanpage, website it must include the fllwing: Crdinatr s cntact infrmatin. It must be mentined smewhere n the flyer Spnsred by Name f Parish (and C-spnsring parishes if applicable) and the Yung adult and Campus Ministry Office f the Dicese f Tled. Funded by the Annual Cathlic Appeal. Flyers must include the YYACM and Thelgy n Tap lgs The Office f YACM will insert the lgs n the flyer.
