7 Page 7 Giant Tales Volume 17, Issue 1 Letter from the Editor Fellow Club Members I need your help! As most of you know, I am juggling several tasks for the GSCA. Most of the time, I try to be fairly efficient and work hard to get things posted, published, shared, etc. SOMETIMES, things fall through the cracks of volunteering versus life. Please know it is NEVER intentional. If you see that the website is missing information, please remind me to post. Occasionally, it is a glitch in the site and other times, it is an error in posting. I always try to get information posted on our Facebook page, in the Newsletter, in STEPS and on the Website. Please help me check for errors and be sure this is done so that the information is available to all. If something is missing or is in error, please let me know so it can be corrected quickly. After all, it is OUR club, OUR website, OUR Facebook page, OUR newsletter, OUR STEPS not mine alone. I also wanted you to know that we are changing printers for STEPS. I was very disappointed in some of the images in the last issue. I made appointments with several other printers. Each printer gave me their sample of the last issue. ONLY ONE printer printed the images as I sent them. We will be switching to this printer, who also happens to be a tad bit cheaper! In this regard, I am asking you to consider purchasing the cover of STEPS as well as advertising in STEPS. Our fees for ads are minimal. I know because of printer issues, some of you may be hesitant, but know that I am working very hard to resolve the issue. If the cover is not purchased, it will simply be the club logo. I prefer to have an awesome cover that we are all proud of! Please consider reserving the cover TODAY. Enid Lagree was gracious enough to send me something for the Book of Champions issue and of course, the National Specialty issue will go to the winner. There are 2 covers still available for 2017 so don t delay! STPES is, at times, a monumental task. I am in need of interesting articles. Tonilyn Fay and Doug Hill have sent wonderful stuff for me to share this year. I have always been able to count on Steve Fox and Christine Lietzau for their breed insight in every issue. Last year, I was able to get items from Yvonne Schilla, Pam Foster, Enid Lagree, Robin Greenslade, Robin Henderson, Joan Anslem, Dr. MacDonald, Bridgette Tuerler, Laura Feldt, Linda Hurst, Melisa Davis, Kim Demchak, Janine Poyfair and Kappy Zahn. We also had several ads purchased in the August issue. I truly appreciate each of you for supporting STEPS. If you run across an interesting article that you enjoy, others may too! Please send it to me so that I can get permission to reprint it. Your help and support will only make STEPS better! I hope you enjoyed the Book of Champions section of the December issue of STEPS. I was able to reach out to so many of you for the images that were included. THANK YOU for getting back to me so quickly! We will continue this in 2017, so if your dog earned a Championship in 2016, look for an from me in late spring/ early summer asking for a picture. Please feel free to reach out to me with ideas anytime. The STEPS is gscasteps@gmail.com. Thank you for your support, Robyn
