1 January On Point Meeting: Jan 24 7:30p Sosa Community Center 1414 Wirt Rd Houston, TX Save the Dates and Updates Happy 2019 everyone, May 2019 be a banner year for titles, wins & accolades & volunteers for our events. Next event that needs some helpers is the agility trial January 19. Need some strong backs for set up on Friday & tear down on Sunday afternoon. Need helpers for Saturday for dropped bars, leash runners & more. No experience needed. Location is Big League Dreams center, 1150 Big League Dreams Pkwy, League City, Tx Trial is indoors!!!. Contract Trey Evans to sign up at or trey.evans@verizon.net. After the Agility Trial, is our club s Spring Hunt Test on Feb 2 & 3. Contact Sharon Veeder at katygsp@yahoo.com or Vanessa Carmean at vcarmean@wm.com to help. No experience needed either for lunches, filling bird bags, getting entrants to the line & other assignments. Field Trial begins Feb 9 th and goes through the 17 th. Contact James Messer or Kirk Bomer for more info at msrkennels@yahoo.com or mkbomer@gmail.com Then consider helping for the awards banquet. Contact Sarah Messer at sarahkmesser@yahoo.com. No experience needed to this as experienced folks can give you an assignment. Members need to work 2 events for title plaques & 3 events to be in the running for dog of the year. For a complete award guidelines, contact Jeanine Wright for the information at gspfriend2@yahoo.com. Budgets will be due at the June meeting, committee chairs will be getting reminders for that to be submitted. I also hope to have some programs this year so if anyone has any ideas, let Jeanine Wright know so they can be planned. They can only be 45 minutes because we need time to conduct business if any. On program nights, will get an agenda together so the meeting can be short. Will be needing a delegate for GSPCA NSS on May 2-5 in Idaho. Any agenda items must be submitted as well. If you are going let me know for the next meeting as we must turn in the info by 3/17. GSPCA needs member nominations for 2022 NSS for breed, futurity & sweepstakes. Lists of eligible judges were in the last issue of Shorthair. Nominations need to be in by 2/1/19.
