We ve done a bit of re-arranging in the store. Baby/Toddler Fabrics are now on the Main Floor. Our Class Schedule for 2018 started with the kickoffs of our $ 25 Clubs and Believe Club. Now it is time to get our other classes into full swing. And there is an abundant amount of variety to choose from. As usual we are including our regular classes and free demos. Do not delay in signing up for something that interests you as the classes can fill up quickly. This class list will take us up to the end of June. But please keep an eye on our Social Media and through our s for any Pop-up Classes or Demos. This Summer proves to be another Full Season of Activity. We are excited to be participating in the Row by Row Experience as well as The July Shop Hop. 2 The Wonderful World of Applique Saturday March 3rd Time: 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. $14 & Booklet Elaine has chosen to use Quilted Skinnies for All Seasons as her booklet for this class. Be introduced to different methods of applique preparation. Learn the ins and outs of both machine and hand appliqué. Corporate Ladder Quilt Saturday March 17th Time: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. $24.00 & pattern Find out how easy it is to make a lap size quilt fit for any gift occasion. Learn about easy strata sewing. A useful pattern for any style of fabric. Jeweled Tiles Quilt Saturday March 3rd & March 10th Time: (March 3rd): 10 1 & $24 ( March 10 th) 2:00 4:00 p.m.. It is important to learn about proper cutting and simple piecing. Let the choice of fabric be the real star of the show. A lap-size for Beginners or Quilters who just want to perfect their cutting and piecing skills. Tuffet Saturday March 24th & April 28th Time: 1:30 p.m. 4:30 $27 plus hardware kit available from Elaine for $110 (plus ruler) We are very excited that Elaine will be doing a Tuffet Class at The Stable. Oh sew many possibilities! Elaine will walk you through the steps on how to create a profession look to your piece of furniture. The first class will be sewing, the second class will be assembling.

3 Elephant and I Quilt Sunday, March 25th Time: Noon 4:00 p.m. $18.00 & pattern Teacher: Heather Gail s Beginner Class Tuesday April 10th & 24th & May 8th Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. $27 Start from the Beginning with Gail. Learn about handpiecing and handquilting. Unlike some other Beginner s classes, the project is a Table Topper. Just the right size to learn. Walk on the Wild Side with appliqué, paper piecing and improvisation. Heather will lend a guiding hand to learn how to paper piece a scrappy elephant to applique onto a background of easy to sew strips. You do have the option to create a pillow if the 50 x 56 quilt is too big of a project for you. Rainbow Trip Quilt Saturday April 7th Time: 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. $27.00 & booklet Teacher: Heather Use beautiful florals to piece a romantic quilt with Heather s advice. This project is from the booklet Garden Fresh Quilts. The fabric collection is called Garden Delights by In The Beginning Studios. We currently have the first collection available with Collection # 2 arriving shortly. Step by step instructions walk you through the cutting and colour placement to form the watercolour pattern. Finished quilt size is 84 square. Bindings and Backings Saturday April 14th Time: 2:00 p.m. Free Demo Gail will be sharing insight bindings and backings in this free Demo.

4 Pineapple Pizazz Sunday April 15th Time: Noon 4:00 p.m. $18.00 & Template Whether you choose to make a Table Topper or a Quilt, Joyce will show you how easy it is to make Pineapple Squares using Marti Michel templates. Paper Pieced Pillow by Carol Mason Saturday April 21st & May 5th Time: 1:30 4:30 p.m. $27 & pattern During the first class the fundamentals of paper piecing will be worked on. The second class will deal with curved piecing and pillow construction. Table Graces Place Mats Double Wedding Ring Saturday April 21th May 5th Time: 10 a.m. -1:00 p.m. $27 + templates In a 2-part class, Elaine will help you along with the creative process as you work on a table runner or quilt. Template of Choice is Marti Michell s Double Wedding Ring. Ring diameter is 17. Sunday April 22nd Time: Noon 4:00 p.m. $18 & pattern A suitable class for all skill levels. Learn to make place mats using a quilt as you go method. Although not discussed in class, the pattern includes napkins and a tablecloth.

5 Brooke s Bag Sunday May 6th & May 27th Time: (6th) 12:30 3:30 p.m. (27th)12:00 3:30 $30 Learn how to make a large roomy bag that stands up on it s own for easy access to the contents. Magnetic closure and pockets inside. Strip Tube Ruler Saturday May 12th Time: 2:00 Free Demo Without a doubt one of the most verstatile tools that you can have in your Tool Chest! Join Gail for a Free Demo on Cozy Quilt Design s Strip Tube Ruler! Dresden Plate Place Mats Wednesday, May 16th Time: 10:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. $14.00 An all time favorite class. Learn how to make placemats with the Dresden plate motif. Embroidery 101 Saturday May 19th Time: 10:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. $14.00 Let Gail share her passion for Hand Embroidery. Machine Quilting 101 Sat. May 26th Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. $30 includes kit One of our most popular classes. Elaine will introduce you to machine quilting on your domestic machine. Learn the process and be introduced to the products that will make your machine quilting a successful task. Note: In order to register for Free Motion Quilting, you must have taken this class. Becca Bags Sunday June 3rd Time: Noon 4:00 p.m. $18.00 & pattern Learn how to make a small bag quick and easy to assemble using only half of the zipper. Perfect for yourself or for quick gifts.

6 Interfacings Saturday June 9th Time: 2:00 p.m. Free Demo There are many different interfacings out there and it can be quite confusing as to what to use and when to use. Join us for an introduction to good basic knowledge. Sew Kind of Wonderful Saturday June 16th Time: 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. $20 & pattern/tool Elaine is giving you a choice of a couple of Sew Kind of Wonderful patterns. Choose from Metro Waves, Chic Country or the funky Flamingo Pattern. Find out how easy it is to use the Quick Curve Ruler. Rock Candy Table Topper Sunday June 10th Time: Noon - 4:00 p.m. $18 plus pattern/tool What a great opportunity to learn how valuable Jaybird s Sidekick Ruler is while making a 20 1/2 x 23 project. Free Motion Quilting Saturday June 23rd Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. $14 After completing our Machine Quilting 101 class, we encourage you to join Elaine for instruction and guidance on Free Motion quilting on your domestic machine.
