A group of us are off to Spring Quilt Market in May on the lookout for new inspirations for you. Carla, Sharon, Linda and I are all trekking to Portland seeking new ideas. Winners in the Katja s /Cottonpickers challenge were: 1 st place Betty Spence, 2 nd place tie between Gloria Moore and Bev Marcotte, 3 rd place Jeri Biron. I was very impressed with the items handed in. Wonderful creativity ladies! Great job everyone! The time has come for us to see what they have accomplished. Quilt or quilt-in-progress drop off: By June 20 th We will hang the quilts for display on the 22 nd and leave them up for a few days for everyone to enjoy. Block-a-Week Hex-a-thon Quilt display Saturday August 31, 2013 If you took part in our Hex-a-thon We would like to display your quilts and quilts in progress for our 14 th Anniversary on August 31 st. Please drop off your quilts, quilt tops or quilt blocks before August 23 rd. 4

Information Sheets At Katja s we realize that not everyone in the world is as fortunate as we are. In this vein we are raising donations with the sale of what we call information sheets. These contain a simple set of black & white instructions (not an in-depth pattern). The sheets will assist you in making a project from a Jelly Roll, Charm Squares etc. They are available for a nominal donation (minimum $2.00) to a cause of the designers choosing. You may wish to stop in front of the store first to unload your car, and then move to the general parking lot. Please be respectful of the other businesses and do not occupy the spaces in front of them. Class sizes are limited to ensure you receive the best instruction. We offer high quality teachers & the biggest, brightest classroom around. Full payment is required upon registration, in person or over the phone. If you are unable to attend & give us 7 days notice, we will give you an in-store credit or refund. Less than 7 days, no refund/credit will be given. In the event we cancel a class you will receive a store credit or a refund. We will give you a supply list when you register and offer you a 15% discount on supplies purchased for one of our classes.
