1 Witches Brew Halloween Home Decor Designed By: Julie Beltramo September 2013 This trio of canvases makes for a fun and festive wall hanging for the upcoming Halloween happenings! It s a great project to make for your own Halloween décor. But don t forget to make a second one, along with the coordinating card, and give it as a gift! Instructions Step 1 Take out three 6 x 6 Black Canvases. Also take out three 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 Witches Brew Designer Series Papers (DSP), and three 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets. Stick the adhesive sheets to the backsides of the designer papers first. Then adhere them to the black canvases. (Hint: if your craft store doesn t have the black canvases, you can always paint the white ones.)

2 Step 1 Step 2 Take out the 12 x12 chalkboard art designer paper. Cut the top 4-1/2 x 12 off, to include the WITCHES candy SHOPPE. Press the sheet around the side edges of the black canvas, centering the WITCHES candy SHOPPE. Then cut off excess side edges to leave the width at 8. Also, use your Stampin Trimmer to cut out the OPEN piece at 2 x 3-5/8. Fold in half one 16 Linen Thread, feed through a medium Vintage Faceted Designer Button and tie it into a bow.

3 Step 2 Step 3 Use your 2-Way Glue Pen on the inside of the c-a-n-d-y letters and the hat brim, and add Black Stampin Glitter. Dust off the excess. Hint: Use a separate piece of scratch paper that you can throw away later for less black glitter mess! Then do the same on the O-P-E-N letters. Step 3 Step 4 Add Bold Brights Candy Dots on the WITCHES candy SHOPPE piece. (The photos in Steps 4 through 6 show all Pumpkin Pie candy dots, but I did change them later to one Rich Razzleberry, one Daffodil Delight, and one Pumpkin Pie. See the photo on Step 7 for the updated version!) Step 4

4 Step 5 Add five double-stacked Stampin Dimensionals to the center of the black dotted Witches Brew DSP black canvas. Center and adhere the WITCHES candy SHOPPE piece. Step 5 Step 6 On the backside of the OPEN piece place two triple-stacked Stampin Dimensionals behind the O and P. Then place two single Stampin Dimensionals along the bottom edge. Then adhere the piece at an angle across the top of the canvas. Use Glue Dots to add the Vintage Faceted Button below the OPEN piece. Step 6 Step 7 Use hot glue to adhere the designer paper edges around the sides of the canvas.

5 Step 7 Step 8 For the second canvas, take out the striped Witches Brew DSP canvas piece. Also with the remaining Chalkboard Art DSP piece, cut out the CONTAMINATED CARAMEL apples piece 1-7/8 x 3-1/2, the GOBLIN GUMMIES piece 1 x 3-1/2 and the ghostly GUMDROPS piece 1-1/4 x 3-3/4. Take out the Dictionary/Skull DSP piece, and cut the bottom 4 x 5-1/4 skull out. Take out the other two medium Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons and two 16 Linen Thread pieces, and tie bows through the buttonholes. Step 8 Step 9 Add Black Stampin Glitter to the eyes on the skull piece. Use single Stampin Dimensionals to adhere this piece to the right side of the canvas. Then add double-stacked Stampin Dimensionals to the left-edge backside of the CONTAMINATED CARAMEL apples piece. Add two single Stampin Dimensionals to the right-edge backside.

6 Step 9 Step 10 Adhere the CONTAMINATED CARAMEL apples piece. Use single Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the ghostly GUMDROPS piece, and then use one double-stack and another single Stampin Dimensional to adhere the GOBLIN GUMMIES piece. Add the two Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons and Candy Dots. Step 10 Step 11 For the third canvas, take out the skulls Witches Brew DSP canvas piece. Also with the remaining Chalkboard Art DSP pieces, cut out the quench YOUR thirst piece 3-5/8 x 4 and the MONSTER MUNCHIES piece 1-7/8 x 3-7/8. Also, from the left over Dictionary/Skull DSP, cut a 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece. Fold in half, thread and tie the 16 Linen Thread through the large Vintage Faceted Designer Button. Step 11

7 Step 12 On the quench YOUR thirst piece add Black Stampin Glitter to the words ELIXIRS, POTIONS and BREWS. Step 12 Step 13 Take out the 2 scrap of Cotton ribbon. Trim the bottom 2 edge, and then pull a few strings out to ravel the edge. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Cotton ribbon to the bottom left edge of the Dictionary DSP piece. Then glue that onto the canvas. Step 13 Step 14 Use double stacked Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the quench YOUR thirst and MONSTER MUNCHIES pieces onto the canvas. Use a few Glue Dots to adhere the large Vintage Faceted Designer Button. Add Candy Dots.

8 Step 14 Step 15 Take out the 48 Burlap ribbon piece. Fold it on half and place it on your table. Lay the three canvases down the center of the ribbon, spacing them evenly. Leave about 1 between each canvas. Then pick each one up and use hot glue at the top and bottom centers of the backsides. Adhere back in its spot onto the Burlap. Hint: Don t worry about getting exactly enough hot glue to adhere on this step. You ll add a little more next! Hot glue each canvas onto the Burlap ribbon. Step 15 Step 16 Trim the bottom edges of the Burlap ribbon. Then turn the whole thing over. Pull up the edges where the Burlap has been hot glued to the canvas frames, and add more hot glue to secure them in place better.

9 Step 16 Step 17 To make the coordinating card, take out the 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black card stock, the 4 x 5-1/4 black dotted Witches Brew DSP and the 2-1/4 x 4-1/4 dictionary/skull Witches Brew DSP. Take out the 4 Cotton ribbon piece. Cut the bottom edge and fray the ribbon. Step 17 Step 18 Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Cotton ribbon piece, centered, under the edge of the dictionary DSP piece. Glue the layers onto the card front. Step 18

10 Step 19 Use Jet Black StazOn ink to stamp CELEBRATE a CREEPY CRAWLY HALLOWEEN onto the 2 x 3 Very Vanilla card stock piece. Fold in half, thread and tie the 16 Linen Thread through the large Vintage Faceted Designer Button. Use Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the saying, and a few Glue Dots for the button. Add Candy Dots underneath the saying. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the 4 x 5-1/4 Very Vanilla card stock on the inside. Step 19 Materials: Stampin Up!
