1 LUCKY Banner & Pot O Gold Designed By: Julie Beltramo March 2012 Spread a little St. Patrick s Day cheer with this project! You can dress up your fireplace mantle or any shelf or wall in your home, with this Lucky St. Patrick s Day banner. Then make the cute little Pot O Gold to add as an accent to your Green Day display! And, of course, some gold-wrapped Rolos make the perfect little treat to put in your pot. Instructions Step 1 Use the Hearts Collection Framelits and the Big Shot to die cut five #4 size hearts and ten #3 size hearts from 5-1/2 x 6 Garden Green card stock pieces. (Sizes are based on smallest #1 to the largest #6, of the six dies in the set.) Lay the hearts out on your 5-1/2 x 6 piece of Garden Green card stock as shown in the picture.

Lay out the heart pieces, the circle pieces and the stem pieces to make five shamrocks. Then use Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the 1-3/4 circles to adhere the parts. Step 3a Step 3b

Step 4 To make the medallion centers, die cut five lacey scalloped circles from the Perfect Pennants die with 3 x 3 Whisper White card stock pieces; die cut five 2 circles from the Circles #2 die

Timeless Type Junior Alphabet dies with the five 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 Silver Glimmer paper pieces. Layer those pieces together using glue on the letters, but Stampin Dimensionals on the rest.

Layer those pieces together using glue on the letters, but Stampin Dimensionals on the rest. Adhere each of them to a shamrock. Step 4 Step 5 Tie the five 8 pieces of Basic Black 1/8 taffeta ribbon into separate little bows. Use Mini Glue Dots to stick each of them onto five Mini Clothespins. Clip one onto the top of each shamrock. Then use those to attach each shamrock to the 48 long Basic Black 5/8 satin ribbon. Step 5a Step 5b Step 6 To create the pot of gold, start by die cutting a Box #2 from the 4 x 12 Basic Black card stock piece with your Big Shot. You will cut off any of the top flaps of the box that are die cut. Use Sticky Strip on the last tab on the end to adhere the box.

Then use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the front and back pot pieces to the box #2. Step 8

Step 9 Use the 3/8 x 11 piece of Basic Black card stock piece to make the pot handle. Use the 1/16 punch to make holes in the handle ends and the side of the box.

5 Step 9 Use the 3/8 x 11 piece of Basic Black card stock piece to make the pot handle. Use the 1/16 punch to make holes in the handle ends and the side of the box. Use two Basic Black brads to attach them. Then punch it out with the 1-3/4 Circle punch, keeping the saying toward the bottom of the circle. With Garden Green card stock scraps, and the Small Hearts punch, punch out three hearts and hand-cut a scrap for the stem. Use Mini Glue Dots to create a shamrock with the Garden Green pieces. Step 10 Step 11 Use the Circles #2 with the Big Shot, and the 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 Basic Black card stock piece to make a 2 circle. Glue that to the white shamrock piece made in Step 10. Punch a hole in the center of the shamrock and add a black brad. Then use the 2-3/8 Scallop Circle punch and the 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 Silver Glimmer Paper piece to make a Scallop Circle. Use Stampin Dimensionals to adhere parts together.

6 Step 11 Step 12 Use Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the scallop embellishment onto the front of the pot. Fill with Rolos for that touch of gold treat! Step 12
