1 Autumn Theme Boxed Cards Set Designed By: Jen Arkfeld August 2013 I love to have cards that match the seasons. Who wants a spring themed birthday card when they have a birthday in October? In this project, you ll craft some cards with rich fall colors for various occasions, plus a great box that s perfect for gift giving if you don t decide to keep the cards for yourself!

2 Birthday Card Instructions Step 1 Create card base from 4-1/4 x 11 piece of Crumb Cake card stock, scored at 5-1/2. Die cut 4 x 5-1/4 piece of yellow plaid pattern from Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper (DSP) using die from Chalk Talk Framelits Dies. Note: Save the cut out image for the Thank You card. Stamp the solid acorn image from the Gently Falling stamp set with Soft Suede ink twice. Once dry, stamp the acorn outline image with VersaMark Ink over the top and heat emboss with Gold Embossing Powder.

3 Step 3 Place the die cut piece on top of 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Very lightly trace the die cut area onto the Very Vanilla piece. (This will give you an idea of where you need to stamp the leaf image.) Ink the solid oak leaf image from Gently Falling in Tangerine Tango ink, then roll the edges of the image in Soft Suede ink. Stamp onto Very Vanilla piece in the area of the die cut. When ink is dry, carefully erase your pencil lines. Stamp the outline oak leaf image with VersaMark ink, and heat emboss with Gold Embossing Powder. Stamp the happy birthday wishes sentiment from Petite Pairs stamp set in Soft Suede ink. Adhere panel to card front. Step 4 Adhere the die cut yellow plaid panel over the top of the Very Vanilla panel using Stampin Dimensionals. Thread a small Chocolate Chip button from Neutrals Designer Buttons with Linen Thread. Tie in a bow and adhere to your card at the top of the acorn stems. Thank You Card Instructions Step 1 Create card from 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake card stock. Score at 4-1/4. Stamp 3-3/4 x 4 piece of Chocolate Chip herringbone pattern from Sweater Weather DSP with various leaf outline images from Gently Falling, using VersaMark ink. Heat emboss with Gold Embossing Powder. Adhere to lower portion of card front.

4 Step 3 Emboss 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Summer Starfruit card stock using Honeycomb embossing folder. Adhere to top portion of card front. Step 4 Adhere a 4 piece of Coastal Cabana 3/8 Ruffle Stretch Trim to seam of the Summer Starfruit and Chocolate Chip DSP, using Sticky Strip. Using the blue side of the Chalk Talk Framelit die that you saved from the Happy Birthday card, distress the edges with Coastal Cabana ink. Stamp thank you sentiment from Perfectly Penned in Chocolate Chip ink. Adhere to card front using Stampin Dimensionals. Attach two Chocolate Chip Candy Dots to the tag. Celebrate Today Card Instructions Step 1 Create card from 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake card stock. Score at 4-1/4. Stamp 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Very Vanilla card stock with the Chevron background stamp in Tangerine Tango ink. Note: Ink your stamp very sporadically and stamp off on scrap paper before stamping on your card stock for a distressed, lighter image. Stamp Celebrate Today sentiment from Perfectly Penned stamp set with Chocolate Chip ink. Adhere panel to card front. Step 3 Using the Mosaic punch, punch two shapes from Coastal Cabana polka dot DSP and two shapes from orange sweater pattern from Sweater Weather DSP. Fold over one tip end.

5 Step 3 Step 4 Stamp outline images from Lovely Little Labels in Chocolate Chip ink. Stamp sentiments and heart image inside labels with Coastal Cabana ink. Punch out with coordinating punches from Little Labels Punch Pack. Adhere to fronts of Mosaic punched shapes with Stampin Dimensionals. Adhere Mosaic shapes to 8 piece of Linen Thread to create banner. Tie ends in bows. Adhere to card front. Note: I use a very tiny drop of Multipurpose Liquid Glue under the bows to keep them in place. Step 6 Fold 3 piece of Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon in half. Adhere to upper left corner of card. Adhere Coastal Cabana Boutique Details over the top of the ribbon. You re in My Thoughts Card Instructions

6 Step 1 Create card from 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake card stock. Score at 5-1/2. Emboss 4 x 5-1/2 piece of Early Espresso Core dinations card stock with Argyle embossing folder. Sand the raised image lightly with Stampin Sanding Block. Adhere to card front. Step 3 Wrap an 18 piece of Summer Starfruit 3/8 Stitched Satin ribbon around top portion of card, tying into a bow. Trim ends. Step 4 Cut three leaves from various Sweater Weather scraps, using the Autumn Accents Bigz die. Crinkle them up, and then smooth them back out a bit. Use Gold Encore ink and swipe the pad over the top of the leaves lightly, hitting the raised portions. Adhere to card, tucking the leaf stems under the knot of the bow. Stamp you re in my thoughts sentiment on a scrap of Summer Starfruit card stock with Chocolate Chip ink. Die cut with Chalk Talk Framelits die, using only a portion of the die. Adhere to card front. Gift Box Instructions

7 Step 1 Using your Simply Scored Scoring Tool, score a 6-1/2 x 7-7/8 piece of Tangerine Tango card stock 1 from each edge. Use a Bone Folder to crease each score line. Snip each corner from edge to the score line - DO NOT cut corners completely out (Step 1a). Turn over and place Sticky Strip in each corner. Note: I used different sticky strip in photo, just so it would show up. (Step 1b) Fold flap in, and fold side up, adhere together. (Step 1c) Step 1a Step 1b Step 1c Repeat this process with a 6-1/2 x 7-7/8 piece of Window Sheet for the top, except, score one LONG SIDE at 7/8 instead of 1. This will ensure that your lid is slightly larger than the bottom, so that it will fit on top. Step 3 Fill box will cards and envelopes. Note: Your box will fit about six of these cards, so you may want to duplicate your favorites, and simply change the sentiments. Wrap an 18 long piece of Burlap ribbon around the closed box. Tie a piece of Linen Thread around the ends of the Burlap ribbon, and then tie a large Chocolate Chip button to that.
