1 Candy Cane 12 Days of Christmas Designed By: Sonya Oshiro November 2010 Count down the days till Christmas with a sweet treat for each day or fill it with little notes of things to do! Instructions All steps in this project will use Multipurpose Liquid Glue unless otherwise noted. Step 1 Adhere the 6 x 12 piece of polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the 6 x 12 piece of On Board Long Board. Repeat with other piece.

Step 1 Step 1 Step 2 Set the Crop-A-Dile to ½ on the 3/8 side.

2 Step 1 Step 1 Step 2 Set the Crop-A-Dile to ½ on the 3/8 side. Holding both On Board Long Board pieces together (one on top of the other), punch a 3/8 hole on the left and right ends, approximately 2 in using the Crop-A-Dile. Repeat for the bottom edge of one On Board Long Board piece. Step 2 Step 2 Step 2 Step 3 Adhere the 2-1/2 x 12 piece of polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP to the 2-1/2 x 12 piece of On Board Long Board. Punch two 3/8 holes ½ from the bottom using the Crop-A-Dile approximately 2 from the left and right ends. Punch two 3/8 holes ½ from the top of the Long Board approximately 4 from the left and right ends. Using the Crop-A-Dile, insert the two Pewter jumbo brads into the two top holes (see instructions for which setting to place it on).

You will repeat for the middle On Board Long Board to the 2-1/2 x 12 piece of On Board Long Board. Step 4 Step 4 Step 5 Tie a knot at one end of the 12 length of Real Red 5/8 grosgrain ribbon. Starting from one of the top holes on the 2-1/2 x 12 piece of On Board Long Board, thread the ribbon from the back through the front and then down through the other hole, tying a knot in the back.

Step 5 Step 6 Peel off the backing of the 6 x 12 piece of Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and stick it to the back side of the 6 x 12 piece of Real Red polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP.

4 Step 5 Step 6 Peel off the backing of the 6 x 12 piece of Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and stick it to the back side of the 6 x 12 piece of Real Red polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP. Step 7 Cut your piece of 6 x 12 Real Red polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP according to Table 1 using the Paper Cutter. Run the pieces through the Big Shot using the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Medium Sizzlits dies. Peel off the backing of your letters and attach to the 2-1/2 x 12 piece of On Board Long Board.

Repeat for your other 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 pieces. Run them through the Big Shot using the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Medium Sizzlits dies. Repeat for the ¾ x 1-1/4 pieces so you get an extra Baja Breeze 1 and 9. Step 12 You will be decorating the 12 matchboxes in this step. Day 1 Matchbox Day 1 Matchbox Materials: (1) Real Red box base, (1) Real Red polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, Real Red and Whisper White card stock scraps, (1) 9 length of Blushing

Punch out a circle using the 1-3/8 Circle punch and Whisper White card stock scraps. Punch out a scallop using the 1-3/4 Scallop Circle punch and Real Red card stock scraps.

7 Day 1 Matchbox Day 1 Matchbox Materials: (1) Real Red box base, (1) Real Red polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, Real Red and Whisper White card stock scraps, (1) 9 length of Blushing Bride ½ Stitched-Poly ribbon. Instructions: Tie the 9 length of Blushing Bride ½ Stitched-Poly ribbon around the box and trim off the excess with the Craft & Paper scissors. Punch out a circle using the 1-3/8 Circle punch and Whisper White card stock scraps. Punch out a scallop using the 1-3/4 Scallop Circle punch and Real Red card stock scraps. Peel off the backing of the Blush Blossom 1 and center onto Whisper White circle. Layer the Whisper White circle onto the Real Red scallop with SNAIL adhesive. Attach to box using a Stampin Dimensional. Day 2 Matchbox Day 2 Matchbox Materials: (1) Garden Green box base, (1) green mitten Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP and Blushing Bride card stock scraps, (2) Blushing Bride glimmer brads.

Instructions: Punch the polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP using the Decorative Label punch. Punch the Blushing Bride card stock scrap using the 1-1/4 Circle punch.

Poke a hole on each side of the circle using the Paper-Piercing Tool and insert Blushing Bride glimmer brads. Attach label to box using a Stampin Dimensional. Day 3 Matchbox Day 3 Matchbox Materials: (1) Blushing Bride box base, (1) ornaments Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP and Blushing Bride card stock scraps, (1) Real Red glimmer brad. Instructions: Run the polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP and Blushing Bride card stock scraps through the Big Shot using the Matchbox Bigz XL dies to get the tag pieces. Peel off the backing of the Garden Green 3 and center onto polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP tag. Layer the tag onto the Blushing Bride tag with SNAIL adhesive. Poke a hole on the top of the number using the Paper-Piercing Tool and insert a Real Red glimmer brad. Attach label to box using a Stampin Dimensional.

Day 4 Matchbox Day 4 Matchbox Materials: (1) Blushing Bride box base, (1) striped Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, (1) Real Red 2 x 1 piece of card stock, Christmas tree Candy Cane Specialty

Run the Christmas tree Candy Cane Specialty DSP and Real Red card stock scraps through the Big Shot using the Matchbox Bigz XL dies to get the tag pieces.

9 Day 4 Matchbox Day 4 Matchbox Materials: (1) Blushing Bride box base, (1) striped Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, (1) Real Red 2 x 1 piece of card stock, Christmas tree Candy Cane Specialty DSP and Real Red card stock scraps. Instructions: Adhere the Real Red 2 x 1 piece of card stock to the center of the matchbox cover using SNAIL adhesive. Run the Christmas tree Candy Cane Specialty DSP and Real Red card stock scraps through the Big Shot using the Matchbox Bigz XL dies to get the tag pieces. Peel off the backing of the Baja Breeze 4 and center onto Real Red tag. Layer the tag onto the Christmas tree Candy Cane Specialty DSP tag with SNAIL adhesive. Attach label to box using SNAIL adhesive. Day 5 Matchbox Day 5 Matchbox Materials: (1) Real Red box base, (1) candy cane design Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, (1) Real Red 2-5/8 x 1 card stock, Real Red and Garden Green card stock scraps.

Instructions: Punch Real Red 2-5/8 x 1 using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch and adhere to the center of the matchbox cover using SNAIL adhesive.

Peel off the backing of the Blushing Bride 5 and center onto circle. Layer the circle onto the Garden Green tag with SNAIL adhesive. Attach label to box using a Stampin Dimensional.

10 Instructions: Punch Real Red 2-5/8 x 1 using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch and adhere to the center of the matchbox cover using SNAIL adhesive. Run the Garden Green card stock scrap through the Big Shot using the Matchbox Bigz XL dies to get the tag piece. Punch the Real Red card stock scrap with the 1-1/4 Circle punch. Peel off the backing of the Blushing Bride 5 and center onto circle. Layer the circle onto the Garden Green tag with SNAIL adhesive. Attach label to box using a Stampin Dimensional. Day 6 Matchbox Day 6 Matchbox Materials: (1) Baja Breeze box base, (1) snowflake design Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, striped Candy Cane Specialty DSP and Blushing Bride card stock scraps. Instructions: Punch the striped Candy Cane Specialty DSP using the Decorative Label punch. Run the Blushing Bride card stock scrap through the Big Shot using the Matchbox Bigz XL dies to get the tag piece. Peel off the backing of the Real Red 6 and center onto Blushing Bride tag. Layer the tag onto the decorative label with SNAIL adhesive. Attach label to box using a Stampin Dimensional. Day 7 Matchbox

Day 7 Matchbox Materials: (1) Real Red box base, (1) candy cane design Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, Real Red and Baja Breeze card stock scraps, (2) silver glimmer brads.

11 Day 7 Matchbox Materials: (1) Real Red box base, (1) candy cane design Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, Real Red and Baja Breeze card stock scraps, (2) silver glimmer brads. Instructions: Punch the Real Red card stock scrap using the Decorative Label punch. Run the Baja Breeze card stock scrap through the Big Shot using the Matchbox Bigz XL dies to get the tag piece. Peel off the backing of the Blushing Bride 7 and center onto Baja Breeze tag. Layer the tag onto the Real Red label with SNAIL adhesive. Poke a hole on each side of the number using the Paper-Piercing Tool and insert the silver glimmer brads. Attach label to box using a Stampin Dimensional. Day 8 Matchbox Day 8 Matchbox Materials: (1) Real Red box base, (1) Real Red polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, Whisper White and Blushing Bride card stock scraps. Instructions: Punch the Whisper White card stock scrap using the 1-1/4 Circle punch. Run the Blushing Bride card stock scrap through the Big Shot using the Matchbox Bigz XL dies to get the tag piece. Peel off the backing of the Real Red 8 and center onto Whisper White circle. Layer the circle onto the Blushing Bride tag with SNAIL adhesive. Attach label to box using SNAIL adhesive.

Instructions: Adhere the 2 x 1 Candy Cane Specialty DSP piece to the center of the matchbox cover. Punch the Baja Breeze card stock scrap using the 1-3/4 Scallop Circle. Punch the polka-dot Candy Cane Specialty DSP scrap with the 1-1/4 Circle punch. Peel off the backing of the Baja Breeze 9 and center onto circle. Layer the circle onto the scallop with SNAIL adhesive. Attach to the box using a Stampin Dimensional. Day 10 Matchbox Day 10 Matchbox Materials: (1) Baja Breeze box base, (1) snowflake design Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, (1) Real Red 2 x 1 card stock, Baja Breeze and Blushing Bride card stock scraps.

Instructions: Punch the Real Red 2 x 1 card stock with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch and adhere to the center of the matchbox cover using SNAIL adhesive.

Peel off the backing of the Real Red 10 and center onto circle. Layer the circle onto the scallop with SNAIL adhesive. Attach label to box using a Stampin Dimensional.

13 Instructions: Punch the Real Red 2 x 1 card stock with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch and adhere to the center of the matchbox cover using SNAIL adhesive. Punch the Blushing Bride card stock scrap using the 1-3/4 Scallop Circle punch. Punch the Baja Breeze card stock scrap with the 1-1/4 Circle punch. Peel off the backing of the Real Red 10 and center onto circle. Layer the circle onto the scallop with SNAIL adhesive. Attach label to box using a Stampin Dimensional. Day 11 Matchbox Day 11 Matchbox Materials: (1) Blushing Bride box base, (1) ornament design Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, Garden Green card stock scrap, (1) 9 length of Blushing Bride ½ Stitched-Poly ribbon. Instructions: Tie the 9 length of Blushing Bride ½ Stitched-Poly ribbon around the box and trim off the excess with the Craft & Paper scissors. Run the Garden Green card stock scrap through the Big Shot using the Matchbox Bigz XL dies to get the tag piece. Peel off the backing of the Baja Breeze 11 and center onto tag. 14 Day 12 Matchbox Materials: (1) Blushing Bride box base, (1) striped Candy Cane Specialty DSP matchbox cover, (1) Blushing Bride 2 x 1 card stock, (1) Real Red 2 x 1 card stock, Whisper White card stock scrap. Instructions: Adhere the Blushing Bride 2 x 1 card stock piece to the center of the matchbox cover using SNAIL adhesive. Punch the Real Red 2 x 1 card stock with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch and adhere to the center of the Blushing Bride card stock using SNAIL adhesive. Using a Real Red Classic Stampin Pad, stamp the peppermint candy from the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set on the scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and punch out using the Decorative Label punch. Peel off the backing of the Garden Green 12 and center onto the label and attach to the box using a Stampin Dimensional. Step 13 Attach the furry side of the Velcro dot to the underneath of each matchbox. Stick the other side to the furry side and then place down on the board to set in place. Fill each matchbox with candy or a little note of things to do for each day. Step 13
