1 The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations NOTIFICATION NO:- 20-BOPEE OF 2012 DATED:- 09 th OF MAY-2012 Subject:- Common Entrance Test for Selection of Patwar Trainees. Applications on the prescribed form are invited from the permanent residents of J&K state (except Leh & Kargil Districts) who are eligible and desirous to appear for Common Entrance Test for selection of Patwar Trainees of Jammu and Kashmir State. Entrance Test will be of one objective type paper having 100 multi choice questions of 1 mark each:- a. General Studies/ Current Affairs -30 Questions. b. Functional Urdu -30 Questions. c. Mathematics topics such as Arithmetic, Menstruation, Geometry of 10 th standard -40 Questions. Duration of Paper is of hrs. Questions relating to General Studies/ Current Affairs and Mathematics will be set bilingually (Urdu, English) Eligibility:- Candidates applying for the above said Common Entrance Test 2012 must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:- a. Must be permanent resident of J&K State. b. Have passed B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com/BCA/ BBA/ or other Graduate Degree from a recognized University c. Have working knowledge of Urdu. d. On must be not below the age of 18 years and not above the age of 37 years in case of Open Merit, 40 years in case of SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OSC candidates, 39 years in case of physically challenged candidates, and 48 years in case of Ex. Serviceman. 1.

2 Sale of Application Forms: to : Application Forms can be obtained from the following designated branches of J&K Bank against cash payment of Rs.200/- (Rs. Two Hundred only) excluding service charges of the Bank as may be applicable. The Application Forms can also be obtained from two offices of the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations viz. Baghat-i-Barzulla, Srinagar (opposite J&K Bank Barzulla) Srinagar and 4th floor South Block, Bahu Plaza, Jammu on all working days against a Bank Draft of Rs.200/- (Rs. 3 Before filling the Application Forms, the candidates are advised to go through carefully provisions in the Information Brochure about eligibility criteria, other matters and sample copy of Application Form and then fill up the office copy of Application Form and then finally the OMR Application Form. Receipt of Application Forms: to : Filled in OMR Application Forms along with the office copy of Application Form, complete in all respects should be submitted in the offices of the J&K Board of Pprofessional Entrance Examinations, Bagat-i- Barzulla, Srinagar, (opposite J&K Bank, Barzulla) and 4 th Floor, South Block, Bahu Plaza Jammu between A.M to P.M according to the following schedule:- S. 4 The Candidates who do not deposit their application form on due date and time, shall have to pay a late fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) through non-refundable bank draft drawn in favour of the FA/CAO, BOPEE payable at Jammu/Srinagar and can deposit Application Form on the dates mentioned above. The Application Forms can also be submitted through Registered Post / Speed Post to the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations office at Jammu/ Srinagar. Application Form sent through courier will not be accepted. Application Forms, whether delivered personally or through Post shall not be entertained after expiry of the last date prescribed for receipt of the Application Form. Certificates to be attached: Attested copies of the following certificates are to be attached with office copy of Application Form. 1. Date of Birth Certificate. 2. Marks Certificate of the Graduate Degree Examination from recognized Universities. 3. Permanent Resident Certificate. 4. Reserved Category Certificate if applicable as per SRO 294, without which the Application Form will be considered in open Merit Category. No under Process Certificate will be entertained. Mode of Selection: Selection shall be made strictly in order of merit of the candidates on the basis of marks obtained in Entrance Examination. Important Note: Selected candidates after completion of training of nine months shall have to qualify the patwar Examination to be conducted by the Financial Commissioner (Revenue) and the qualified candidates shall have to apply to SSRB for being selected as Patwari as and when these posts are advertised by SSRB. The selection of the candidates for Patwar training and subsequent passing of the Patwar Examination shall confer no right for being appointed as Patwari.
