Entries & Entry Fee : Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) Players can also pay the entry fee directly in the following account through NEFT and forward the entry form along with transaction receipt.

The Last Date for receipt of entry 7 th December, Entry after last date will be accepted with late fee of Rs.500/- and accepted till 9 th December, Entries confirmed only on full payment and receipt of form by /post/courier. No refund under any circumstances. Organisers reserves right to close entries even before due date. Entries are to be sent along with Demand Draft and completed forms in favour of Gujarat State Chess Association payable at Ahmedabad along with necessary enclosures to Mr. Bhavesh Patel (Secretary, Gujarat State Chess Association), C/o. Rifle Club, Nr. Bhavan s College, Khanpur, Ahmedabad so as to reach the office on or before the specified dates. ELIGIBILITY: The participant shall not have a published FIDE Rating of 1800 or more at the start of the Tournament, nor had such a rating for at least 36 months prior to the start of the Tournament. REGISTRATION: All participants should be registered with AICF for the year Online AICF Registration is available in the website Those who have already obtained registration cards from AICF Website for should send photo copy of the same. Those who have paid the AICF Registration fee but are yet to receive the AICF Registration card should send a photo copy of the acknowledgment for having paid the fee to organizers of earlier tournaments or to their association. Before the tournament all the players must be registered with AICF for the year. Participants from Gujarat will also have to register themselves with Gujarat State Chess Association for the year at the time of entry on payment of Rs.50/-. ENTRY FORM: As per FIDE Regulations, Registration and Licensing of Players are mandatory. So it is mandatory to forward the entry form in the given format with all details for accepting the entries along with prescribed entry fee. Those don t have FIDE ID & AICF ID can leave the column blank. Organiser s have the right to accept or reject any entry without assigning any reason. ACCOMMODATION: Players and accompanying persons have to book their own accommodation. WEATHER: The weather in Ahmedabad is expected to be cool. The minimum / maximum temperature will be around Degree Celsius.

4 TOURNAMENT RULES: 1. System of Play: The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of chess & FIDE Swiss System with 9 Rounds. Time control will be 60 minute + 30 Sec. increment per move from move Tie Break: In case of tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect. Bucholz Tie Break System will be applied. The cash prizes will not be shared. 3. Appeals Committee of 5 members with 2 reserves amongst the senior participants officials present at players meeting will be formed before the commencement of tournament. All the members and reserves will be from different states. No member of the committee can vote on dispute in which a player from the same state is involved and in such a case reserve member shall take his place in the committee. 4. Protests: Protests, if any against the decision of the Chief Arbiter, shall be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs.500/- within 30 minutes of the occurrence of the incident. The amount will be refunded if the appeal is upheld. 5. The decision of the Chief Arbiter / Appeals Committee will be final and binding on all the players. 6. Denial of Entry: Gujarat State Chess Association reserves the right to admit / refuse any entry without assigning any reason. 7. The organizers of the tournament reserve the right to make necessary changes in rules pertaining to the tournament. 8. Smoking /Drinking is strictly prohibited in the premises or tournament venue. 9. Players are requested to get their own chess clocks. RIGHTS OF ADMISSION: Any players who played unauthorized tournament listed by All India Chess Federation are not allowed to participate in this tournament.
