1 BROULEE PUBLIC SCHOOL NEWSLETTER Cambridge Crescent Broulee NSW 2537 Phone: Website: Principal s News Tuesday 23 October 2018 Thank you to everyone for your support with the walkathon and colour run last Friday. The weather was perfect for it and it was wonderful to see so many parents supporting the children during the walk and with their singing at the surf club. The colour run brought out so many huge smiles from both the children and parents there. A big thank you to Mrs Fairweather who coordinated both events, the year 6 children for their colour run ideas and to all the staff and parents who assisted on the day. It was a terrific way to round off the first week back. We are looking forward to seeing all our 2019 Kindergarten parents tonight for our orientation meeting. The meeting will start at 6pm in the icentre. This Thursday s assembly at 1.45 pm will be led by students from 1E. All families are welcome to attend. Term 4 Week 1 Stage 1 Ella Stage 2 Malcolm Stage 3 Charlie Eurobodalla 2019 Environmental Calendar Stella and Amy were lucky enough to have their artwork chosen for the Eurobodalla 2019 Environmental Calendar. Each student will be given a copy of the calendar to take home later in the term. The girls will meet with Mayor Liz Innes at a morning tea at the Council Chambers to receive the first calendars off the print and a certificate for their great artwork. 7 WALKATHON and COLOUR RUN The walkathon and the colour run were a lot of fun!! A big THANK YOU to all the people who helped make it happen. From transporting lunch boxes, to putting up sun shelters, from sorting ice blocks to planning the obstacles, from providing music to taking photos, from walking with the kids to completing a risk assessment and, of course, throwing colour- it was a great team effort. Lots of people said it's a day the kids will remember forever - how fantastic! Check out our Facebook page for more photos and videos. A big WELL DONE to all the students. Their behaviour throughout the whole day was superb. On top of that, they've raised lots of money for the school!! Our profit, at this stage is over $7,000. Great job everyone! We'd love to see more money rolling in so please give one final push as you have until Friday to raise money. Prizes must be ordered ONLINE from 26th October until 2nd November. Simply log in to your account during the prize ordering window. A pop up will appear advising you to Order Prizes. This will then allow you to select a prize. Please call if you have any troubles. 8 544 trays of mangoes have been ordered = $3536 funds raised for our school! A huge THANK YOU to our Broulee Public School Community for your support. We're all looking forward to feasting on the delicious mangoes in December!
