Children s Choir Rehearsals resume on Tuesday, September 8, immediately after school. Open to children, grades 3 and up, the choirs sing one Sunday every month at the 9:30 A.M. School Mass. A signed permission slip is necessary to attend the first rehearsal. Do you have a guitar that is not being used? We need them. Safe Environment is a training you must have in order to volunteer in the classroom, go on field trips or any other activity involving children. 4 Parents, This is our NEW St. Jude Tumbler. The design is slightly different than the flyers that were sent home but look JUST as great!!! You can purchase these through our fall fundraiser. They will be delivered with the frozen food order in October. These are high quality tumblers with a matching lid that closes shut. 5 CATHEDRAL OF ST. JUDE CATHOLIC SCHOOL HAWKS CHESS CLUB My name is Joe Giles and I will be hosting a weekly Chess Club, with instruction and practice time, at SJCS during the academic years. If your child is interested, read the details below and return this participation form with a parent's or guardian's signature to school office. Parents/guardians who would like to volunteer to help or learn to play chess are also welcome Who: Chess Club is open to students in grades 1-8. Chess Club is limited to 20 students. If more than 20 students sign up for Chess Club, only the first 20 will be able to participate. Where: Parish Center When: Chess Club will start on Wednesday September 16, 2015 and meets every Wednesday from 3:15 pm until 4:15 pm (students not picked up at 4:15 pm will be taken to extended Day Care). Cost: None Our goals are to: Have fun learning to play chess, practice good sportsmanship, and prepare for the Annual School Chess Tournament. Expectations: Students who participate in Chess Club are expected to be on time, to show respect to others, and to have fun. Given that students will be at a variety of levels, more advanced students may help those with fewer skills.
