1 Newsletter Archives Quick Links Upcoming Events Photo Gallery Chapter Officers Committee Chairs Contact Us October 2018 President's Report The first meeting of the year was a success, thanks to our excellent speaker Scott McGinnis, who spoke on Process and Product of ASHRAE RP-1712; ASHRAE s Design Guide for DOAS. If you were not able to attend the meeting, you can download the presentation slides from our website. We are lucky to have a capable and motivated Programs Chair, and I would like to thank Dan Wine for coordinating our meeting schedule. Coming up is our annual fall golf tournament to benefit ASHRAE Research Promotion, and our Research Promotion Chair Ermias Lamesgin has put together an exciting event. If you haven t attended our fall golf tournament before, you will definitely want to join us the morning of October 15th at The Tribute. The event is a great opportunity to socialize with your support network of industry representatives and vendors outside of the office or to bring your owner or architect contacts and develop some more business. Everyone is welcome and will enjoy themselves and the weather is typically fantastic. See y all at the October 10th chapter meeting! Kind Regards,

10 Back to top Honors & Awards ANNOUNCEMENT: DALLAS CHAPTER TECHNOLOGY AWARDS We want to recognize the best building projects in Dallas is your work the best of the Big D? Are you proud of a recent project you were involved in? Have you worked on a building project that was particularly unique or challenging? Were you able to solve a design challenge related to efficiency, comfort, indoor air quality or a different challenge entirely?

The Dallas chapter is accepting applications for Technology Awards until Wednesday, October 31 st. Winners will be announced at our November chapter meeting.

Buildings must be occupied no later than September 1 st, 2018 Categories include: Commercial Buildings(New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning) Institutional Buildings(New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning) Health Care Facilities(New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning) Industrial Facilities or Processes(New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning) Public Assembly(New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning) Residential First place winners will be automatically submitted to the regional competition Complete applications (send to pamela.duffy@lennoxind.com) include: Single-page entry form (Available here) System schematic/diagram not larger than 11 x 17 in size A brief narrative (maximum of 2 pages).
