3 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Happy Fall!! The school year is in full swing! We have been very busy this first quarter and have much more to come this year. ~Cat Jackson, PTA President PTA We are grateful to all of you who have joined the PTA and supported all of our events. If you have not already done so, you can still join on the PTA website: You don t have to sign up to volunteer, but your dues will go towards helping our school, students, and teachers. GOPLAYSAVE In September we completed our GoPlaySave Coupon Book Fundraiser. We hope you are enjoying your purchase and all of the great offers inside! Congratulations to Mrs. Butt s class for selling the most books!! Her class will enjoy a catered lunch party. CROC MILE We kicked off our first Croc Mile last Friday September 22nd! Tracks 2 & 4 had a great day! We look forward to Tracks 1 & 3 Croc Mile on October 13th! Don t forget to register on pledgestar.com/sycamorecreek to enter pledges or envelopes can be sent in with your students. Pledging will remain open until October 20th. Ask your kids what incentives their class has earned on their Pledge Meter. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and our volunteers work very hard to make this event fun for everyone. A huge thank you for Theresa Sarmiere for Chairing the Croc Mile Committee and getting so many sponsors to help make this event so successful!! Save the date Friday, October 13th to come out and cheer on our Crocs as they are introduced by our very own comedian Andy Forrester! We appreciate all of our parents who come out to volunteer at our Croc Miles!! We couldn t run these events without your help! There are still spots available for the Tracks 1 & 3 Croc Mile if you would like to help! The Croc Mile service portion of our program will be running through October 13th. We have partnered with Fleet Feet this year and will be collecting gently used sneakers. Donations need to be tied together and dropped off in the bins outside of the gym. FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT We look forward to seeing you on October 20th at 6pm to watch Moana! Bring your chairs and blankets!! Sami s will be sold for dinner and Kona Ice will be there for dessert (bring cash if possible). MCTEACHER NIGHT Save the date for a school wide favorite!!
