8 MULTI-MODE ACQUISITION CAPABILITY Polarimetric SPOTLIGHT products are provided by using the STRIPMAP mode in PING- PONG configuration. 1 m Resol. (10 km X 10 km) The STRIPMAP (PINGPONG) operative mode achieves medium resolution, medium swath imaging with two radar polarizations IMAGING selectable CAPABILITY among HH, HV, VH and VV, a spatial resolution of 15 meters on a swath 30 km. HIMAGE EACH SAR SATELLITE The acquisition is performed in strip mode alternating the signal 3x3 5x5 m Resol. CAN ACQUIRE UP TO polarization between two of possible ones i.e. VV, HH, HV and VH. (40 km X 40 km) 450 IMAGES/DAY A periodic polarisation switching at T/R modules level during the synthetic aperture time PINGPONG is programmed according to a predefined schema. A greater number 15x15 of polarisation m Resol. swapping during the synthetic aperture time will result in (30 a larger km X 30 spatial km) resolution. NARROW FIELD WIDE FIELD WIDEREGION 30X30 m Res.
