2 Firstly we would like the thank you for booking MICappella for your show. While this document may come off as being slightly formal, it is done to be fair to all parties involved. This document contains all, and if not most, of the necessary information pertaining to the audio technical specifications and requirements of MICappella s ( the band ) LIVE performances. Under the circumstance that any of the following requirements cannot be adhered to and/or other queries arise please do not hesitate to contact: Mark BigBoy (65) / bigboysounds@gmail.com or Diana (65) / diana.tanyl@gmail.com This Rider contains the following information: A. FOH/Monitor Requirements B. Backline Requirements C. Input/Output List The band usually travels with a PreSonus which is used to mix FOH and IEMs along with their own wireless microphones and IEM system. Kindly check if the band will be bringing these along for the engagement. If, for reasons beyond the band s control, they cannot provide any of the above gear, please refer to the requests below*. If the band is bringing their own gear kindly provide the following at FOH: i. 01 x table (minimum size of 1.5m x 0.75m) ii. 01 x chair iv. 01 x 16A single phase cee-form female (UK) - iii. 03 x tall microphone stands w/ 5/8 male thread iv. We will feed you 02 x XLR connections to the house console.

3 A. FOH/Monitor Requirements This section details our audio requirements. Kindly note that we engage the services of our own audio engineers and hope that the engaged system/foh/monitor/audio techs will cooperate fully with them. 1. FOH System Please provide a FOH PA system that delivers the following: i) Professional loudspeaker system that produces clean, undistorted, full-range sound at an SPL of 106dBA to all seats/viewing areas at the venue. ii) That the system is phase coherent, time aligned and is splayed/ angled for ample coverage of the venue. iii) Preferred systems(in order of preference): a) d&b J, V or Q-Series b) L-ACOUSTICS K1, V-DOSC or dv-dosc c) CODA Audio AIRLINE LA12 or LA8 d) Meyer Sound MILO, MICA or MINA e) JBL VTX or VERTEC SERIES f) EAW KF760 or KF740 SERIES. iv) A (preferred cardioid) sub-woofer array mixed on a discrete output v) Ample energy to mix pop/rock music in the venue.

4 2. FOH Console - *To be provided if the band does not bring their own. Please provide a fully operational and professional digital mixing console with: i) NO hum, buzz, noise, pops, clicks or crackling. ii) Min. 16 input channels, 8 auxes(16 if mons are mixed from FOH), 2 sub-groups and 8 outputs(16 if mons are mixed from FOH) iii) iv) 4-band PEQ w/ variable HPF, compression & gating per input. 31-band GEQ on all outputs. v) In-built effects including reverb, stereo delay, phaser and ocatver. vi) Console to be placed in line center stage on an elevated riser (minimum height of 2 feet if in a standing audience) no further than 40m from the stage. vii) viii) Latest manufacturer firmware/licenses installed. Kindly provide a competent English speaking system technician who is familiar with the system and console - available to our FOH engineer at all sound check and show times. ix) If monitors are mixed from this console, please setup 03 x stereo IEM sends with all inputs set to pre-fader. x) Preferred console(in order of preference): a) AVID VENUE D-Show / Profile / SC48 / S3L b) DiGiCo SD9 and above c) Yamaha CL5/3/1 / M7CL v3.0 / LS9 d) Allen & Heath ilive / GLD-80

5 3. Monitor System - *To be provided if the band does not bring their own. Where the show may feature a separate monitor system please provide a fully operational and professional mixing console with: i) A competent and English speaking monitor technician. ii) iii) NO hum, buzz, noise, pops, clicks or crackling. Min. of 16 input channels, with 03 stereo auxes. (if IEMs are used we prefer these) & 1 mono aux (if wedges are used in large venues). iv) 4-band PEQ w/ variable HPF, compression & gating per input. v) 31-band GEQ on all outputs. vi) vii) viii) ix) Please ring out wedges prior to arrival. Full-range w/ sub-woofer sidefills in larger/outdoor venues. Wedges should be of the same model, processor and amplification. Preferred IEM system (03 x transmitters and 06 x packs) - in order of preference): a) SHURE PSM1000 / 900 b) Sennheiser G3 Note: Kindly provide an active directional antenna. Artists will provide IEMs. x) Preferred wedge monitors(in order of preference): a) d&b M6 / M4 / M2 b) L-ACOUSTIC 115XT / 12XT Note: Please provide enough wedges for ample SPL and coverage of the stage. xi) Preferred monitor console (in order of preference): a) Digico SD8/SD7 b) MIDAS Pro3 / Pro6 c) AVID Profile (48ins/16out)

6 B. Backline Requirements 1. Wireless Microphones *Kindly provide a professional wireless microphone system with 08 x handhelds: i) Operates on an appropriate bandwidth for the country / venue of performance. ii) The engaged frequencies are in the same RF group and free from crosstalk, interference or any other form of potential disruptions. iii) iv) Please provide 02 x active directional antennas & RF splitter. Kindly provide fresh, quality batteries for performances. v) Preferred wireless microphone system(in order preference): a) Shure AXIENT / UHF-R / ULX-D / ULX with KSM9 / BETA87A/C / BETA58 capsules b) Sennheiser SKM5200 / SKM G3 2. Mic/Line Splitter * Kindly provide a professional passive/active mic/line splitter which: - For use if running separate FOH and monitor consoles. i) Has a minimum of 08 input channels. ii) Minimum 02 x active split outputs per input. iii) Preferred brand/model of splitter: a) ARX MSX 48 b) XTA DS8000 / DS800 c) LA Audio MS1224 d) Klark Teknik DN1248 Plus 3. Communications Kindly provide a form of talkback system between FOH console, MONs console and backstage.
