1 PINK TURTLE THEATRE RIDER This rider is part of the contract: please read it carefully, don t hesitate to call us to get more information. Remember we can always find solutions providing we have reasonable notice! This rider was made for a standard venue, for the needs of the musicians: it can be completed on new venues by a few precisions and adjustments agreed upon between our Sound Manager and the venue s Manager. Any change or substitution will only be accepted after written request to the Sound Manager or the Producer within reasonable notice. Please no last minute changes! Sound Engineer : Fabien LEFORT +33 (0) fabien@artisticprod.com VENUE : Please give any useful information concerning the venue. DRESSING ROOMS : Please provide well-lit, lockable dressing rooms to accommodate 9 persons, where the climate can be controlled upon request. The dressing rooms will be equipped with chairs, a sofa if possible, tables, full-length mirror, clothes rack, ashtrays, iron and ironing board, toilets, soap and towels, 220V electrical outlet and if possible Internet connection. Each dressing room shall be within close proximity to the stage and away from a public area. A copy of keys to the dressing rooms must be given to the ARTIST s representative upon load-in. Please provide catering in the dressing rooms for the group (9 persons) (dried and fresh fruit, biscuits, crisps etc ) with drinks (still and sparkling mineral water, tea, coffee, fruit juice, beer, Coke ) + napkins and useful tableware. Please book the group in a restaurant for a hot three course meal before or after the concert. STAGE (see stage-plan) : A stage performance area of 10 x 7 meters, with stairs to stage. A backdrop (or curtain) upstage is requested for acoustics / aesthetics where applicable. Seating to begin no further than (6) ft. from the proscenium. Please maintain temperature on stage at no less than 19 C. Please provide :.Three armless chairs.a high stool.18 Small bottles of still mineral water for sound check and show. Stairs facing the stage to enable the musicians to go downstairs and entertain the audience.one 2mx2mx40cm riser dressed with a black cloth and black carpet. In case of open-air concert, the stage must be covered. BACKLINE-INSTRUMENTS TO BE PROVIDED (PLEASE CONSULT with Sound Manager for any change or substitution) :.One PIANO (please advise) : One Baby Grand tuned to A 442 before sound check. Don t forget the adjustable bench! The piano will be played open during the concert..one KEYBOARD CLAVIA NORD STAGE EX 88 or ROLAND RD 700.One JAZZ DRUMSET preferred brands : YAMAHA Recording Studio, SONOR, GRETCH (please advise) PLEASE, NO ROCK DRUMS! One complete drumset with :.One cymbal set (spare), 1 wooden snare, one bass tom 22 with "muffle" on kick side and front skin hole, 1 alto 12 tom, 1 floor tom 16, 3 cymbal stands, 1 snare drum stand, 1 Camco bass drum pedal, 1 hi-hat stand + tilter, 1 drum throne, 1 drum floor carpet, 1 tuning key. 2 All drum heads, except the snare drum resonator, must be of the rough white coated type, fiberskin 3 or REMO AMBASSADOR. Transparent or black plastic heads, as well as oil heads are not acceptable. Don t forget the carpeted 2mx2m riser. BACKLINE-INSTRUMENTS :.One professional UPRIGHT BASS (with gut-strings if possible) with pickup, cell and 2 JACK-JACK (1/4 ) cables + DI box..one GUITAR AMP : VOX AC30, Mesa Boogie 100 W, last choice will be Fender Twin reverb 100 W + Switch + Tilt-Back amp stand (THE AMP MUST BE IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION WITHOUT BUZZ OR NOISE). SOUND (Please advise any change or substitution) : A concert sound system of sufficient size, sophistication and quality to deliver to all members of the audience an amplified blend of the band s music (including all instruments), free of distortion, feedback, and extraneous noises. See patch & Stage-plan here below. MIXING DESK : Digital desk M7CL or Yamaha PM5D : if you don t have a digital desk please contact sound engineer. P.A SYSTEM : L. Acoustics, D&B, Adamson, Meyer, etc. FOH RACK 1 EQ stereo face Klark Technics, BSS (2x31 bands)? BSS 1 CD Player The sound system (FOH and stage), mics and cables will be set up at least one hour before sound check The mixing desk will be placed between both sound system, never under balconies and always level to the audience Please provide : Two (2) wireless Shure SM58 Pro R or U4D series mics, Four (4) medium mic stands with telescopic boom, Twelve (12) mic stands with telescopic boom (2 for our wireless mic antennas) One (1) intercom system with three bodies: sound, light and stage. Three (3) 9V batteries, Eight (8) 1,5V LR6 NEW batteries Three (3) main current multi-plugs (4 x AC 16 A 220V) for guitar foot pedal, amp and wireless mic rack. Make sure to get cables long enough on the SM58 mics to enable the musicians to go to the middle of the stage. The HF copper mics rack can be set-up either stage letf or stage right. LIGHTS (Please advise) :.A general cover in white or light amber for the whole stage area Bear in mind the musicians move A LOT during the show and use the whole stage!.drop lights on drums and piano.amber, red and blue wash.a follow spot.stage light will be controlled by light console. The band comes without a light engineer; however a lead will be handed to the venue s engineer.
