1 This is the complete audio rider, updated regularly and pursuant to the Contract, undersigned by the Artist s legal representative and the Buyer. Please do not consider any previously distributed paperwork or word of mouth information, especially if such information is not coming from anyone other than the contact person named on this rider, authorized to do so by CHIC Management. FOH SOUND REQUIREMENTS Professional quality, flown, stereo four-way (3-way + subs) speaker system + separate sub-woofers, capable of delivering 110 db distortion-free, wide band audio, evenly distributed throughout the venue, plus full range front fills and delay systems where needed. Software/hardware control for the sound the system should be available at front of house position, operated by a qualified person, responsible for tuning the sound system, available to assist our FOH engineer during setup, sound check and show time. Preferred audio systems are: ADAMSON Energia E15, or Y18 or Y10 D&B J Series D-VDosc FOH Mixer: One professional digital audio mixer. Acceptable models are, in order of preference: Digico SD5, SD7, SD8, SD-Ten Yamaha PM1D, PM5D-RH, CL5, M7CL Avid (Digidesign) Venue/Profile Mixer surface (banks/layers), must have minimum 24 input faders + VCA s on main layer. Our sound engineers travel with CHIC show memory cards for quick recall and setup for all of the above mentioned mixers. Please arrange for firmware version compatibility with our sound crew before their arrival. Note: The choice for digital mixers is highly recommended for considerable savings on space, outboard equipment rental, setup and connection time. Sharing of mixers with other productions is possible ONLY if these digital models are provided. In events where limited time is granted for line check or sound check, these mixers are mandatory, and no analog mixing desks will be accepted. Mix position: The FOH (front of house) mixing position will be located at the center of the Venue or directly in line with one side of the main PA system, no closer than 25 meters (80 feet) and no further than 55 meters (115 feet) from stage, depending on the main system s size. There must be no physical obstruction (visual and/or acoustic) between the stage and the FOH mixing position. The FOH position at indoor venues will not be located in booths, side corridors or under balconies, unless equipped with timealigned near field monitors, compatible with the main sound system. Proper protection (security barriers etc.) and lighting for the mixing work space is necessary and seating arrangements must be taken in advance to allow positioning the equipment so that audience and tech sound crew may remain safe. If the above specified digital systems should not be available, and IF CHIC IS THE ONLY PRODUCTION PERFORMING, and allowed A PROPER SOUND CHECK, please consider the following analog equipment: 01 Top quality, professional mixer, minimum 48 input channels + 4 stereo returns, minimum 8 aux sends (individual pre/post selection), 8 VCA. Preferred brands and models, in order of preference: CADAC R80, MIDAS XL4, MIDAS HERITAGE 4000/3000/ LEXICON 480/960 with LARC (*or double each of the following reverbs) 01 TC M-ONE (*or double) 01 LEXICON PCM 70 version 2 software (*or double) 02 YAMAHA SPX 990 with working card slot 06 AVALON 737 or AMEK 9098 or similar 10 channels of compression: DBX 160, 160X, TLA, BSS (NO BEHRINGER) 08 channels of noise gates: DRAWMER, BSS (NO BEHRINGER) 01 stereo (or two mono) 31 band graphic equalizers: KT, XTA, etc. for FOH Eq (unless if remote controlled by software) Recording: Please supply a complete multitrack digital recording setup, with operator. We will supply the hard disc. In festivals or multi act shows, CHIC must have dedicated analog consoles. There will be no sharing of channels and non-programmable outboard gear by other acts. Artist reserves the right to withhold any portion of said equipment for exclusive use of the Artist, Production and sound crew.

There will be no curtains or physical obstructions in front of the monitor engineer s view. Proper lighting for this workspace is necessary. Possibly avoid using this area as passageway to dressing rooms. Monitors: (MUST ALL BE THE SAME AND PASSIVE, WITH IDENTICAL AMPS) 14 High quality bi-amped monitor wedges, D&B MAX 15, D&B M2, L-Acoustics MTD112 or MTD115 (please, must be all the same!!!). Quantity includes monitor engineer s cue wedge plus a spare wedge. 01 MEYER subwoofer, 2 x 15 or 1 x 18 inch speakers (for Drum Fill). This may have the same aux send as drummer s wedge, but on separate EQ. The sub cabinet must deliver 40Hz at -3dB. 04 Wireless IEM systems, SHURE PSM1000/PSM900. Please provide 4 SHURE SCL2 or E2 earpieces 02 D.I. boxes at monitor mixer position (for show intro). Microphones etc. All vocal microphones (hardwired and wireless) must have the same capsule model, except where specified on the attached channel list. Four (4) wireless microphones (2 main + 2 spare), Shure UHF-R series with Beta58 capsules, tuned on four different and clean frequencies. Make sure to have new batteries plus sufficient spares. All batteries must be DURACELL/PROCELL ALKALINE. See attached input list for exact D.I. box and microphone placement and preferences. Any substitutions will have to be acknowledged only by our sound engineer on a per-show basis. See input list for exact amount of microphone stands %

Comms: The comms will include a 2-station intercom on a separate channel, with beacon lights for silent call, connected between monitor and FOH desk positions for exclusive use by our sound crew. SHOUT SYSTEM Please provide two (2) small active speakers, with volume control, + two (2) dynamic microphones with on/off switch.
