2 Item all-inclusive rate to Germany- 1932, 6 on 5 Air, 1 and 2 Arch tied by Windsor Ont Station A duplex cancel on postcard underpaying by 1 the all-inclusive 10 airmail rate to Germany. It took 10 days to arrive at Cologne. A nice piece with Germany Airfield marking. $ Item airmail rate to US 1931, 1 Arch, 5 Air tied by Ottawa machine cancel on postcard paying 6 airmail rate to US via Montreal. A very scarce postcard usage. $75.00

3 Item Air Services letter in plane crash 1954, Dept of Transport folded letter mailed from Ottawa to Calgary (J.R. Baldwin free frank). Carried by air and delayed on April 8, when a Harvard RCAF trainer and a Trans-Canada North Star carrying this mail collided over the city of Moose Jaw. Return official envelope (roughly opened) and letter of explanation accompanies. $ SOLD

9 Item Patriotic registered 1943, 1 War, 13 Tank tied by Montreal British & Foreign Division cds on 1 for Victory patriotic cover paying 14 registered letter rate to Washington (FECB). Returned to Temiskaming Quebec and carried outside the registered mail while returned. This is the first Montreal PQ British & Foreign Mail Branch registered cover I ve seen, registered at the Branch office (usually a sorting and transit office). Letter enclosed and still sealed. $20.00 Item $18.70, 9kg parcel 1988, $5.00 La Mauricie (3), 37 QEII block of 10 tied by Igloolik NWT POCON handstamp on tag with 9kg annotation presumably paying $18.70 parcel post to an unknown Canadian location. A scarce La Mauricie franking. $40.00

26 Item An early Montreal Jewish family 1898, 1 stationery postcard used locally and delivered by letter carrier from A. Cohen to J.L. Michelson on St. James Street reverse with printed message or announcement in Jewish script /Hebrew language. $15.00 SOLD

27 Item La Banque Jacques-Cartier 1892, 1 stationery postcard from La Banque de Jacques-Cartier in Plessisville Que to St. Sauveur de Quebec. A very scarce bank. $20.00

28 Item US to Montreal, 2 duty 1935, 3 Washington on National Geographic Society cover to Montreal reverse with 2 Customs Duty tied by Montreal Customs Excise handstamp. $30.00 Item Montreal Newspaper La Minerve 1890, stampless cover with lovely La Minerve daily and weekly journal advertising on cover free to Ottawa (b/s). La Minerve (French for "The Minerva") was a newspaper founded in Montreal, by Augustin-Norbert Morin to promote the political goals of Louis-Joseph Papineau. In 1852, the paper passed through various hands before becoming the organ of the Conservative Party of Canada. It became a daily in 1864 and defended the Canadian Confederation project which had been denounced by Papineau but was realized in The paper lost its governmental support when the Conservatives lost power in 1896 to the Liberal Party of Canada. Funding became scarce and the last edition was published on May 27, 1899 (source Wikipedia). $300.00
