9 WELCOME TO OUR 500 TH POSTAL AUCTION When I produced a small Postal Bid Auction list of 176 lots way back in October 1973, little did I think 45 years later I would be producing Auction number 500 with bidding by mail, fax, phone and internet! In the interim, our business has grown. With 15 staff, we not only produce monthly Postal Bid Auctions of Stamps but hold regular Public Auctions of Stamps, Coins and Banknotes. In 45 years we have sold in excess of $30 million worth of Stamps through our Postal Auctions and $25 million through our International Public Auctions which started in Of course we have also sold much more over this period through the House of Stamps, Stanley Gibbons Australia/Mowbrays Australia, World Wide Fund for Nature, Tokelau Philatelic Bureau etc. In all we would have sold in excess $100 million worth of Stamps.
