Lay a book agent who writes to order two copies of the first edi on of Merriam and Webster dic onary and asks to be a Canadian sales agent. Long le er, and it includes R.W.Lay s adver sing card as well. Lovely and rare. (Webster had published dic- onaries in earlier years but when he died in 1840 Merriam bought the rights to republish and printed their revised FIRST EDITION as Merriam Webster in Mr. Lay was ordering this new book. $150 Item # Cobourg, CW to St. Paul, MN USA paying 10c cross border rate. $150
