The cutting list has already added 1/2 seam allowance around all pieces to allow for foundation piecing. Label all pieces with the letter shown. rom white on white print: ut 4 triangles using template J. (A) ut 4 squares 3-1/4 x 3-1/4. ut once on the diagonal to make 8 triangles. () Trace 4 large flower centers using templates provided onto the backing of your fusible web. use onto white on white print and cut out on the traced lines. rom dark blue batik: ut 4 squares 3-1/4 x 3-1/4. ut once on the diagonal to make 8 triangles. () ut 1 square 4-1/2 x 4-1/2. ut on both diagonals to make 4 triangles. () Trace 4 each of the 8 leaf templates onto the backing of your fusible web. use to the back of the light blue batik. ut out on the traced lines. 32 total leaves. Instructions: Print 1 copy of the 3-page foundation pattern on light-weight paper, velum, or newsprint paper. heck the 1 test squares on each pattern page to be sure that the foundations have printed out at 100%. ven the tiniest error will decrease the overall size of the completed block. Label each foundation pattern with the fabric color for each patch. Remember that foundation patterns are reversed! So the printed side of the pattern will be the back of the block. Piece all similar foundations at one time, chain piecing using the pre-cut patches. Pin the fabric right side up to the unprinted side of the foundation. Sew on the printed side of the foundation. (This assumes you know how to foundation piece. If you are new to foundation piecing, please watch one of the many excellent You Tube video demos on the technique before beginning. Piece each foundation section, pressing as you go. Unit G Unit Morning Glory esigns When all sections are pieced, trim the foundation on the outer cutting lines. You should have a 1/4 seam allowance on all sides from the inner sewing lines. This is a square-in-a-square block. To join the sections together you will start in the middle, and join units G and. As you join the sections be sure to sew on the dark sewing lines. Press seams open. Trim on the outer cutting lines. Unit A Unit Add the A,,, and units to the sides of the completed (and trimmed) H unit. Sew a template J triangle to the four sides of the completed unit from step 13. O NOT TRIM.

Unit A Unit Add the A,,, and units to the sides of the completed (and trimmed) H unit. Sew a template J triangle to the four sides of the completed unit from step 13. O NOT TRIM. When all sections are joined, carefully remove the paper by folding it back and forth and tearing along the seam lines. Remove any paper chards with tweezers. Press the block with sizing or starch to restore its shape. If any seams loosened in the paper removal, resew them now. Position the prepared applique stems, leaves, petals and flower centers to the white corner triangles using the Applique Placement Guide provided. use in place, one corner at a time. Pin light weight tear away or wash away stabilizer to the back of the block. dge stitch the applique in place using matching thread and a machine blanket stitch or satin stitch.
