I don t! Geez, where s our spring the Groundhog promised us? Can you believe Red-Roxy is 5 year s old already? Our 5th Anniversary Celebration will be May 1st- 5th with a very special guest kicking it off. Paul Ashworth, the President/CEO of BERNINA USA, will be here on May 1st to help us celebrate. Be sure and put it on your calendar as we have a great week planned! BERNINA s factory is celebrating 125 years so you ll be seeing lots of GOLD! There is a new goldplated edition of Presser Foot #1 coming out in a special collector tin complete with a matching spool of gold thread. The Limited Edition 530 Gold sewing machine will be released this quarter & we ll take pre-orders on this gem if you d like to reserve one, complete with the 125th Anniversary Presser Foot #1! Wouldn t you be the envy at retreats with her as your travel machine? She is a beauty! Oh, and did I mention that we are GIVING ONE AWAY during our 5th Anniversary Celebration?!?! Most of you have heard about the Kimberbell Academy we attended and some of you even attended one of our first pop-up classes for our in-the-hoop Bunny bags. We re excited to offer you our first one day event, a Star Spangled Celebration in May! There will be limited space available, so be sure and sign up early so you get a spot. Look for all the details inside, plus details on the Merry & Bright event coming in August! Our 2 nd Annual Summer Getaway Retreat in June is right around the corner and we re looking forward to another FULL retreat - are you signed up?!?! In May you'll be seeing a new face in the shop: my sister in law Jan will be joining us full time! She will be working on the BERNINA Q24 long arm, assisting YOU and whatever else we throw her way. When you see her, please give her a warm Red-Roxy welcome. It looks to be a busy summer, but we hope you will take time out of your schedule to make time for a class or special event with us. Join Diane in the summer session of Confident Beginner as she teaches you many different quilt block techniques as you make a sampler quilt and also gain confidence to move on to your own projects when class is over. We did change up the quilt a bit to give you some more variety and learn more block techniques so it s sure to be a fun time and a great learning experience for all.
