1 get in touch with your inner knitter 2015 Winter Classes January - April recommended skill levels beginners advanced beginners intermediate advanced To sign up, please call or stop by the shop Main Street Grand Junction, CO Photos of class projects can be found on our website Class Policies and Standard Supplies Classes size is limited, so please call ahead or come into the store to register. To reserve your space, full payment for the class is due at the time you register. If you need to cancel, this must be done 7 days prior to the class in order to receive a refund in the form of store credit. A full refund in the form of the original payment will be provided in the event the class is cancelled by Tangle or we can sign you up for a different class. Our limited space makes it impossible to provide for children during classes. All classes are for ages 16+ unless otherwise specified. If you need additional assistance to complete the class project, private instruction is available at $20.00 per hour and should be scheduled with your teacher. Class members receive a 10% discount on all materials bought on class day or in preparation for a class. We respectfully request that you purchase class supplies at Tangle. Please make your purchases prior to the beginning of your class. STANDArd supplies sewing classes Sewing machine in good working order with manual, power cord and foot pedal. Extra needles, feet and bobbins for your sewing machine Seam ripper, sharp scissors, measuring tape, pins, hand sewing needles, fabric marking pen or pencil, new thread to match project, sewing gauge. Fabric should be pre-washed, dried and pressed before class. Quilting fabric should not be pre-washed. knitting classes Scissors Tapestry Needle Stitch Markers Tape Measure crochet classes Scissors Tapestry Needle Split Ring Stitch Markers Tape Measure weaving classes Schacht Rigid Heddle loom 20 or bigger. Rental for any one day class is $5, $10 for 2 days. Non-retractable 60 tape measure Scarves will be approximately 8 wide and 70 long with 6 fringe. If fringe is not desired there will be a demonstration on sewing ends with a sewing machine. Towels can be for kitchen use or face towels. They will be approximately 18 x 25 and will need to be hemmed by hand or on the sewing machine. Schacht looms are available to order through Tangle and all class participants will be given a $20 off coupon to use towards the purchase of a loom.

2 January Sewing andquilting sewing 101 {intro to your machine} Wednesday, 1/7, 6-9pm Come learn sewing machine basics. Topics include needles, threading, bobbin winding, stitch width and length, how various feet are used and minor cleaning. Bring: Your sewing machine and manual. Thread, extra bobbin, size 80/12 sewing machine needles. sewing 101 {pillowcase} Wednesday, 1/14, 6-9pm Learn how to cut material, follow a simple pattern & sew french seams. Bring: Standard Sewing Supplies (see back), 7/8 yard for main fabric, 3/8yard for cuff, 1/8 yard for cuff, thread to match. piecing 101 Wednesday, 1/28, 6-9pm $28, fabric included Learn how to cut your fabric correctly, get an accurate 1/4" seam, and much more. This class is a must for those learning to quilt and a prerequisite to all of our other quilting classes. Bring: Basic sewing supplies, you may use our rulers, mats and rotary cutters. You will choose your fabric during class. Prerequisite: Students must have some familiarity with their sewing machine. If you've never sewn, we recommend taking intro to sewing machine first. Embroidery 101 {tea towel} Saturday, 1/17, 9:30am-12:30pm $28 Instructor: Starla Rockert Come learn the basics of embroidery in this class. We will practice 5 of the most common stitches, iron transfer a pattern, and then stitch up an adorable tea towel. Bring: The Tangle Embroidery Kit Embroidery pillowcase piecing tea towel

3 January Embroidery Embroidery 201 {valentine s towel with beads} Saturday, 1/24, 9:30am-12:30pm $28 Instructor: Starla Rockert Make a cute little heart designed towel for Valentine's Day. We will use Tangle's super-easy toweling by the yard, machine hem it, embellish it with rick-rack and use stitches including the pearl stitch, French knots, blanket flower, & bead stitching. Class includes pattern and beads. Bring: 3/4 yard toweling, rick-rack, floss, iron-on transfer pencil, and basic embroidery supplies including needles, scissors & hoop.
