Congratulations to all of you who have started (or completed!) Spring Cleaning!! Is that still a thing people really do? I m always happy when I ve cleared away enough space to begin a new project in my quilt room. If you ve cleared away all the supplies from all you made for our Quilt Show, you deserve a round of applause and an encouraging hug as you begin new projects. I m proud to share that the Hummingbird Stitchers are participating in the Arizona Quilters Hall of Fame 10 th Anniversary Celebrate and Serve project. Quilters around the state will be holding Sew-Ins to support Foster Children in their communities. Details of our activities are on page 8. The AQHF is partnering with quilt guilds, individual quilters, and the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Councils in each county to make and distribute quilts to foster children this winter. I thank you all for sharing your time and talents to bring joy to a child in trauma. I hope everyone is able to enjoy our glorious Sierra Vista May weather, the June heat will soon be upon us! Happy Quilting! Deb 6/1 Thursday, 8:30 am, Open Sewing 6/5 Monday, 6 pm, Program Meeting, see pg 2 6/7 Wednesday, 9 am, Program Meeting, see pg 2
