3 To all LEADERship Martin County Alumni: THANK YOU for my awesome retirement party to celebrate 33 exciting, challenging and rewarding years at the of Commerce while I was the Program Director for the past 25 years of LEADERship. I enjoyed receiving all the wonderful cards and gifts from everyone. You have all made my life so much richer and better from all the experiences we have shared over the years. I look forward to seeing you in my retirement. Nancy MOM Sailer Business Person of the Month -- Pierre Uteschill Pierre Uteschill, MBA Audi Brand Specialist, Audi Stuart. Pierre has always had a passion for all things auto (especially Audis!) and when Audi opened in the Treasure Coast he had to join the team! After relocating to charming Stuart in 2006 and starting a small business with his soonto-be wife Jayme, Pierre joined Martin County High School and became its Marketing Management teacher and DECA Marketing Club advisor for more than 5 years. In 2010 he earned an MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University and has actively been involved with the of Commerce. He was a founding member of the Young Professionals of Martin County and a proud LEADERship Class 19 grad! Pierre has served on Youth LEADERship committees and through his own small business and work at MCHS, has had the opportunity to partner with numerous community organizations, businesses and fellow LEADERship Alumni. When it was time to put his teachings to practical use and follow a passion, Pierre pursued an opportunity and became a Certified Audi Brand Specialist. Now he shares his Audi knowledge and puts his spirited customer service and community mindedness to good use at Audi Stuart. Your VOTE Counts on August 26 The August 26th primary election is fast-approaching, so please review our voter checklist and make sure you are election-ready.

All voters registered with a minor party, or no party affiliation, can vote for judicial and school board races, County Commission District 4, and if you reside within the city limits, you can vote

4 Your VOTE Counts on August 26 The August 26th primary election is fast-approaching, so please review our voter checklist and make sure you are election-ready. Florida is a closed-primary state limiting you to the party you are registered with. All voters registered with a minor party, or no party affiliation, can vote for judicial and school board races, County Commission District 4, and if you reside within the city limits, you can vote for City of Stuart Commission, Group V race. Make sure your information is current. If you ve moved or changed your name, update those changes before casting your votes. If you vote early, or in person at your precinct, remember to bring signed photo I.D. Know your voting options: Vote early (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. August 16th- 23rd); vote on Election Day or Vote by Mail. Many year-round residents enjoy the convenience of our vote-by-mail option. Voted ballots must arrive at our office no later than 7 p.m. Election Day. You can check your status at.martinvotes.com, or call the elections office at (772) We are counting on you - take the time and vote! Vicki Davis, Class 4 MC Supervisor of Elections Carroll Brennan New Youth Coordinator Martin Youth LEADERship has a new program coordinator serving on the planning committee. Carroll Brennan will be working with Diana Bruton, Planning Chair, to kick-off class 18. Carroll just graduated from the class 24 adult program and her youngest child, Riley, just graduated from class 17 of the youth program. She is very familiar with the youth program as two of her other three children have also graduated from Youth LEADERship Sean class 5 and Brynn class 9. Working with youth has played a big part in Carroll volunteering, typically in educational and leadership positions. Most recently Boy Scouts of America, church and school take up most of her time since retiring in 1995 as a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics/Division of Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow at University of Minnesota. Carroll has been recognized with many honors for her service to our community including, Women of Distinction Nominee, BSA Sailfish District Spark Plug Award, District Award of Merit, Girl Scouts Outstanding Volunteer and Leader, Appreciation and Honor Pin, Diocese of Palm Beach Catholic Committee on Scouting - St. George Award and National PTA Grant Take Your Family to School Week. LEADERship alumni, who initiated the youth program, are very pleased that Carroll has stepped forward to help coordinate tomorrow s leaders. July 2014 LEADERship Alumni Newsletter Page 4

She is working this summer at the National Mining Hall of fame and Museum in Leadville Colorado. Congratulations! Alumni Purpose The purpose of LEADERship Martin County Alumni is to support the LEADERship Martin County Program; to provide education and networking opportunities for our members; and to enhance community awareness of our members by providing opportunities to evaluate and act on issues affecting the community. Note: Our monthly newsletter can now be viewed on our website POST YOUR NOTES Lisa Dames (21) received the 2014 Hobe Sound Community S e r v i c e A w a r d, w h i c h i n c l u d e s $5,000 for the charity of her choice. She hopes to start a building fund for the Banner Lake Club, which she has brought to a new level of excellence with a lot of hard work. Robert Kilbride (19) has been selected by Super Lawyers magazine to its 2014 Florida Super Lawyers.
