3 NOTICE INVITING QUOTATION FOR SUPPLY OF FURNITURE Sealed Quotations are invited from bonafide Supplier, Original Manufacturer or their authorised Dealers / Distributors for supply of following furniture items as per details given below for GRSE sponsored CSR project under, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, Howrah (Project Code: DRC/GRSE-OTH/SOCSAT/SKM/002/14-15). The quotations should be submitted to the letter box of PROF. 4 DETAILED OF THE ITEMS TO BE PROCURED UNDER ITEM NO. 01 Class Chairs / Study Chairs with Desk-let Size: 54cm W x 77cm D x 81cm H The under structure assembly is a wooden frame made of dia 1.9cm x 18. Desklet is made of 1.5cm thick plywood / wooden with melamine finish all around. or near equivalent Sal Wood Structure ESTIMATED QUANTITY 20 ITEM NO. 02 Secretariat Table with Computer attachment Width 1600 mm, Depth 600 mm, Height 750 mm Table with key board & mouse tray, drawers and printer rack of approved design. Table top and sides are 25mm thick pre-laminated particle MDF board. Edges sealed with thick edge band all around. The side panels should have glide screws each for levelling of the desk. The drawers and shelves to be made from 18 mm pre laminated particle board with PVC edge band on the entire exposed surface. The drawers and key board tray are provided with suitable slides for smooth operation. Locking arrangement for at least one drawer. ESTIMATED QUANTITY 04 ITEM NO. 03 Revolving Chair with arm-rest & Medium back Seat size : 450 mm x 400 mm, Back size : 400 mm x 450 mm (+ 10% variation allowed) Seat & Back made up of not less than 1.2cm thick hot pressed plywood & upholstered with fabric & moulded polyurethane foam with PVC lapping of approved colour and design. Loop type Armrest made up of integral polyurethane with shore A hardness with MS insert. Should have features like 360 deg. revolving, Upright position locking, tilt tension adjustment with 3 piece telescopic type and injection moulded vertical stand. The pedestal should be powder coated and fitted with at least 5 nos. twin wheel castors. 4

6 b) Bidders are required to submit, along with the quotations, coloured version of Original Manufacturer s catalogue mentioning Brand and Model No. with dimensions and available colour combinations of each item (including For item no 03 and 06), without which quotation will not be considered. Colour combinations of each of the items however, would be finally approved by the purchaser without any alternation of the quoted price. d) Bidders are required to submit at least one credential of successfully carrying out a similar type of job of worth not less than half of the total quoted price awarded by any similar national level institution of higher education or government agency. e) Bidders are required to submit self-attested photocopies of valid Trade-License, Professional tax, VAT-Registration, PAN Card and latest IT-Return Certificates, Relevant ISO certificates ( as applicable) along with relevant certificate of being bonafide supplier for Furniture items, original Manufacturer and / or Authorised Dealer / Distributor. f) The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotations in part or in whole, without assigning any reason. g) The evaluation of quotations would be made on the basis of individual items or unit rates quoted thereof and NOT based on the total cost for the estimated minimum quantities of all the items as mentioned above Professor In-Charge-Furniture IIEST-SHIBPUR Head of Department IIEST - SHIBPUR 6
