Posts are 14 gauge metal and slotted for easy assembly without tools. MEDIA SHELF UNIT Shelves are constructed of 18 gauge metal. The Media shelf units have five shelves on the single faced unit and ten shelves for the double faced unit. Media shelves are set at an angle for easy viewing and are 6-1 /2" D. Metal dividers are available for the media shelves and can be inserted in 2" increments. Media shelves also come with a 1 /8" thick acrylic lip that runs the length of the shelf and protrudes above the base of the shelf 2-1 /4". BOOK SHELF UNIT Shelves are constructed of 18 gauge metal. The Book shelf units have four shelves on the single faced unit and eight shelves for the double faced unit. Book shelves are flat and 10" D. End panels are available in both solid and slatwall configurations. Panels are constructed of 3 / 4" Veneered Particleboard and banded with 1.6mm edge banding. 10 Towers General Specifications TOWER SUPPORTS Frame members are solid oak " x ". Frame size is " H x " W. Base of frame is " H. Joints are grooved and tenoned together. Each frame receives two self-leveling 2" diameter adjustable floor glides. Top and intermediate rails are bored and fitted with a metal bushing to receive tower attachment. Individual tower support frames are fastened together with center metal supports or wood rails to form varied geometric shapes. Two 5 /16"-18 socket flat head cap screws are used for each support frame to make this attachment. Patent No TOWERS Towers are available in five-shelf configuration for paperback, and six-shelf configuration for media storage or display. Paperback shelves are 10" H, media shelves are 8 1 /4" H. Tower shelves, top and bottom are made of formed 20-gauge sheet metal, powder painted flat black. Internal vertical back stops and external vertical front panels are 1 /8" thick x 2-1 2" W clear acrylic material. Internal panels pass through the shelves. External panels attach to the top, bottom and each top and intermediate rail. Towers rest on a metal-to-metal surface separated by NTA-411 thrust bearing which has nine separate roller bearings in it to eliminate friction.
