2 Year 8 Homework Booklet- Task 1 Draw: Create a tonal drawing of the fork in a glass of water. Use the grid method to help you sketch the outline in proportion. You should demonstrate shading from dark, to mid, to light tones. Independent Task: Inspired by Kumi Yamashita s images made from objects and shadows, create a small still life (arrangement of 2 or more objects) and sketch them, including the shadow, with tone. You may use colour or pencil.
3 Year 8 Homework Booklet- Task 2 Draw: Create a sketch of this below image that uses positive and negative space to create an illusion of two images. You can use pencil and the grid method to sketch up the image and then fill in the image using a felt-tip pen. Independent: Explore positive and negative space independently. You could draw around your hands and shade one black/ one white or you could use collage with black and white paper to create an image of your choosing. If you are feeling very confident, try to create 2 images from one drawing! Information: Give a detailed explanation of positive and negative space, why it is used within art and design? Where has it been used before e.g film posters, and for what effect? Please use full sentences.
