3 Task 1 Image board Find pictures of other symbols of London / Great Britain, e.g. London landmarks and attractions and Famous British Sports people and produce an image board below. Collect visual images of London and British sports stars or similar Select a varied range of images from a variety of sources Look at books and on the internet Cut and paste onto an A4 plain sheet to form a collage Fill-up an A4 sheet

5 Task 2 London 2012 Logo redesign Use the symbols of Great Britain / London, Draw a new / different version of the logo. Produce a rough version followed by a fully rendered version. D&T Tips for a higher grade Be creative, original and use strong imaginative, eyecatching colours and think carefully about the layout Keep sketches neat (if you are poor at sketching, try tracing images) Outline you designs in black ink Use coloured pencils (felt tipped pens can be a little harsh, messy and bleed through the page! Explain your ideas and thoughts fully and write in sentences and check your spellings. Add notes to explain your design.

6 The Official Competitors shirt Task 3 Official merchandise always has the emblem of the Olympic Games and the city / Countries emblem. Take your design from the previous page and draw it on the running vest below. You may wish to draw it as a small logo placed in one corner of the vest or as a large print across the front of the vest. There may be other parts of the vest that are also modified, look at your sports kit for ideas.. 7 The Official Jacket Task 4 Official merchandise always has the emblem / logo of the host city / country. Each Olympics also has thousands of helpers, officials and judges. You are to select your best logo and apply it to a pocket on the jacket (look at your school jacket for ideas). Add other colours to the jacket in suitable places that represent this prestigious event.
