I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a happy and healthy New Year. I am happy to report that the Whitman s Sampler raffle and the Christmas tree sale/auction were very successful. All the money raised was given to the Ladies Auxiliary for the Christmas gifts for the local needy children. Thank you to the Eagle Riders for donating their 50/50 th money raised on December 15 to the Ladies Auxiliary for the children's Christmas as well. Thank you to Marvin Riley for giving his time to serve as the auctioneer for the Christmas trees. A big thank you to the Ladies Auxiliary for shopping, wrapping, and delivering the gifts. Lastly, thank you members for participating and supporting the Auxiliary. We all came together to work for a common cause. I hope it made your heart as happy as it did mine to know that we helped make Christmas merry for some children that may not have had one otherwise. Now as the New Year begins, we have to continue to work together as a team. If we do this, we can accomplish great things! Thanks to everyone who voted or purchased a tree. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Christmas morning, all I could think of is all the families we helped for Christmas and the very happy children, especially the girls on their new bikes. Aerie and Auxiliary we did a awesome job and should be very proud. On January 20 we will have a chili cook off, sign up is on the bulletin board 1st Prize is $50, please participate for a fun filled day of good eats, raffles and 50/50. The Eagle Riders are also doing their motorcycle races that day from 5 to 9pm. Let's start 2018 with a bang. February is our Hearts on Fire charity day. Please plan on attending for a good time. Details will be on the bulletin board if anyone wishes to donate for our auction that day, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all your support and helping to keep the Auxiliary alive and moving forward. Diane Irwin, Madam President ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Grand Aerie membership has a new contest, the Early Bird is open to all Aerie & Auxiliary members who renew their dues by March 26, 2018 and will be entered into a drawing for one of ten $100 prizes, 5 to the Aerie, 5 to the Auxiliary. Winners will be selected at random on April 1 and will be posted on the MMS page as well as the member s only site. If you have already paid your dues early you will be included in the drawing. I will be happy to accept your dues now and good luck on the drawing. Just put your money in the envelope that is on the door and drop in the slot I will print you a new card showing that your dues are paid thru 2019 and leave at the bar. The Eagle Riders raised $669 for Singing For A Cure, a total of $7500 including a Grant Check for $3800 from the Aerie and Auxiliary. Next meeting will be Jan. 6 at 11:30am with a ride following, the holiday ride to Cody River was enjoyed by all that attended. Motor cycle races will be on Jan. 20, 2018 from 5-9 pm, dinner will be served at 4pm hope to see everyone come out and have fun. The Poker Run on Nov. 4 raised $940, so far, for the Florida State Disaster Relief Fund. Thanks to all that gave. Wreaths Across America was held on Dec. 16 and there was a total of wreaths. We are always looking for suggestions from a members as to where they want to ride after our monthly meeting, we still would like to set up rides on the 4th Sat. of each month. Please give us your suggestions. All points for the past 6 months will be posted at our Jan. 6 meeting. 5 On Dec. 15, the ladies of Spring Hill 4208 Auxiliary delivered Christmas gifts along with bicycles to Hudson Elementary School. Thanks to the Aerie, Eagle Riders and Auxiliary for making this possible and making someone have a Merry Christmas.
