6 Craft Market Hours: Daily from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. May 1st through mid November. Our craft market serves as a clearinghouse for more than 50 local artisans and crafters. All items are handmade and examined for top quality. Ranging from jewelry to quilts and pottery to wall art, these one-of-a-kind creations make wonderful gifts and souvenirs. Our staff is ready to help you find that perfect something.

10 Festivals & S Cook Forest Folk Music Contest Sat., May 13 ~ 1 PM - 4 PM (registration at noon) Rain or Shine! Fiddle, Guitar, Banjo and Mandolin Contest. Three divisions. A square dance will also be held at 6 pm in the Sawmill s large classroom. Annual Herb and Fiber Arts Festival Sat., June 3 ~ 10 AM - 5 PM Sun., June 4 ~ 10 AM - 4 PM This marks the 33rd year for this signature festival that draws hundreds of people looking to start their gardens and get closer to nature. There will be herb, plant and flower vendors, along with those who sell spices, dried herbs, earthen and fiberrelated crafts and much more. Admission: Free Annual Soup Luncheon Sat., June 3 ~ Starting at noon Always a part of the Herb and Fiber Arts Festival, this is the Sawmill s most popular fund raising event! Receive a hand-made pottery soup bowl (which is yours to keep). Enjoy homemade soup, bread, and a drink for $10.

11 pecial Events French & Indian War Encampment Sat., June 10 ~ 10 AM - 6 PM Sun., June 11 ~ 9 AM - 4 PM Presented by Cook Forest State Park on the Sawmill Grounds. Take a walk back in time with Colonial British, French and American Indian re-enactors as they portray lifestyles and war tactics of the 18th Century.

12 Festivals & S Woodcarving Show and Competition Sat., July 15 ~ 10 AM - 5 PM Sun., July 16 ~ 10 AM - 4 PM Our 33rd annual competition will feature wood and carving related vendors, contests and demonstration. Soap carving for the kids! The extraordinary talent of artists from across the region will be on display in the show area. Prizes awarded in many categories of this traditional art form that is reaching new heights. Admission: Free to visit vendor area; $1.00 per person to view show Art Festival in the Forest & Quilt Show Sat., Aug. 19 ~ 10 AM - 5 PM Sun., Aug. 20 ~ 10 AM - 4 PM The Festival focuses on quilting and fabrics, painting, photography, pottery and other traditional arts. Vendors will sell their wares, artists will display and demonstrate their work. Admission: Free to visit vendor area; $1.00 per person to view quilt show SAWMILL RESTAURANT Intersection of Route 66 and Route 36 in Leeper Just minutes from Cook Forest. 13 pecial Events Chainsaw Carvers Round-up & Auction Fri., Sep. 15 ~ 10 AM - 5 PM Sat., Sep. 16 ~ 10 AM - 5 PM (Auction at 4 PM) Sun., Sep. 17 ~ 10 AM - 4 PM (Auction at 3:30) Enjoy watching the carvers in action as they create beautiful works of art from a simple log. Stay for auctions to bid on and purchase some of these beautiful pieces! Admission: Free Gingerbread Tour Fri., Nov. 3 - Sun., Nov. 5 ~ 10 AM - 5 PM The Sawmill Craft Market will be OPEN for your Holiday shopping pleasure. Find unique, hand-made gifts for everyone on your list. Yoga Tuesdays The Sawmill Center will hold classes incorporating gentle yoga with aromatherapy. July 11, 18, 25, August 1 and 8 from 10-11:15 am. The instructor will be Desiree Zeller. Drop in for one or all clases. The cost is $15 per class or $60 for all five. Additional day may be added if there is interest.

15 Festival of Trees Fri., Dec. 1 ~ Sun., Dec. 3 This festival, which was held for years at St. Joseph s Church, is coming to the Sawmill Center! The same vendors you love plus many new ones! Food, entertainment and, of course, Christmas trees! Watch for more details.
