1 Kids Classes Time to let your junior artist shine in fibre art classes. Our classes are project based, this means you go home with a finished project to enjoy. Children will be able to choose from a variety of pre-made kits on the day of their class. Just for Fun is suitable for children 2+ All other classes suitable for ages 7+ Just for Fun-Crafting for All Ages (Instructor Sarah Kirby) FREE Mini Workshop (Approx 20-30min) Parent must remain in the store for the duration of the craft. Join us for some fun crafts using fun foam, pop poms, pipecleaners etc. Every Saturday pm Kids Knitting Circle (Instructor Sarah Kirby) Already know how to knit? Bring your own supplies, practice your skills this summer and get a little help when you need it... Class Fee $5 per session (or buy a punch card for $15 for 5 sessions) Tuesdays July 6 - August 25 11am-12pm Fridays July 9 - August pm Felted Pincushion (Instructor Nicole Rae) Learn the basics of needle felting in this class. Class Fee $20 (supplies included) 2 hrs Sat July pm Felted Bead Necklace (Instructor Nicole Rae) Make your own jewellery in this two night class. Class Fee $30 (supplies included) 2 nights x 1.5hrs Wed July 22 & Fri July pm Frame Weaving (Instructor Nicole Rae) Learn the basics of weaving on a wooden frame in this two night class. Back to Basics - Knitted Dishcloth (Instructor Sarah Kirby) This class will deal with the basics, casting on, casting off and the basic knit stitch. Complete beginners may need to book more than one session to get the hang of things. Knitting in the Round - Slouchy Hat (Instructor Sarah Kirby) Pre-requisite: Back to Basics or some previous knitting knowledge. This class will deal with casting on to a circular needle, ribbing, switching to a larger needle and simple decreases. Class Fee $20 Supplies $ x 2 hrs Tue July 28 & Thur July pm Wed Aug 5 & pm Intermediate Open Star Lace Scarf (Instructor Sarah Kirby) Pre-requisite: Comfortable with YO and PSSO technique. In this clas you will make a linen scarf with an 8 row repeat lace pattern. The pattern included increasing and decreasing in the lace pattern. Class Fee $30 Supplies $ x 2 hrs Fri July 10 & pm Fri Aug 7 & pm Tiny Cardy - Topdown Newbord Sweater (Instructor Sarah Kirby) Pre-requisite: Comfortable knitting on a circular needle and a basic knowledge of increasing and decreasein stitches. In this clas you will make a top down baby sweater to fit a newborn using super chunky yarn. It is knitted all in one piece with no assembly at the end. A great intro to the topdown technique. Class Fee $30 Supplies $ x 2 hrs Tue July 14 & Thur July pm Fri Aug 21 & Sat Aug pm Linen Stitch Scarf -(Instructor Sarah Kirby) Pre-requisite: Comfortable with slipping stitches and long tail cast on. In this clas you will make a linen stitch scarf. This stitch looks amazing with self-striping yarn. Wed July 22nd & Fri July 24th pm Sat Aug 8th & 15th - 3-5pm
