2 Other Items Needed Glue I use a craft type tacky glue such as Aleenes Tacky Glue which can be fund at craft stres like Michael s. Sandpaper - t smth any rugh edges and make parts slide easier. Wax/parrafin als t make parts slide better. General Ntes: All writing n parts is riented the same way n each side unless therwise nted. This puzzle is assembled with the writing n the plywd pieces facing ut. When the uter layer pieces are glued n the writing n thse pieces faces inwards. The alignment pegs are f different lengths depending upn the number f layers that are being placed tgether. Be careful t use the crrect length. The pegs are easier t push thrugh the hles if yu start them n the side f the piece that has writing. Check the fit befre gluing and sand/file any pieces that d nt slide smthly I find that light sanding f the faces f sliding pieces makes fr better bxes. I als use paraffin/candle wax n the surfaces t get smthly mving pieces. I use Aleene s tacky glue fr gluing parts. I glue the pieces and then hld them tgether fr ~15 secnds and they will stay in place until the glue dries. Be careful when attaching uter sides, spacers and cvers t keep glue away frm areas where it might squeeze ut underneath and get n any f the sliding parts. If pssible glue thse parts withut the sliding pieces in place s yu can clean up any glue squeeze ut. Clean up glue squeeze ut while the glue is still sft as it is much harder after it dries. When sanding flat sides it is better t place the sheet f sandpaper n a flat surface and mve the puzzle piece ver the sandpaper. This keeps the face flat and prevents runding ver the edges. If tabs seem t fat t fit in slts then sand them with a cuple f passes f 100 grit sandpaper n each side f the tabbed piece. If tabbed pieces d nt seat fully in the pcket areas, then sand the ends f the tabs.

3 Assemble Inner Bx Start by gluing the frnt, left, back, right and inner shelf panels tgether. After the glue is dry sand the fur sides f the bx with 100 grit sandpaper t remve any ridges and make it smth fr any sliding pieces. Assemble Drawer Glue the right, left, frnt and back sides f the drawer tgether and then glue the bttm t this assembly.

4 Glue the tw stp supprt pieces t the back side f the drawer using the green (.370 ) pegs. Then glue the drawer stp nt thse tw pieces. After the glue has dried sand all sides smth and test fit it in the bx assembly. If it binds then sand the area f the bind until it mves smthly. Add Rail Supprt and Rail Pieces t all Sides Glue the frnt rail supprt pieces t the frnt f the bx using the green (.370 ) pegs. Glue the frnt rail supprts (left/right side) t the left and right sides using the green pegs. Glue the back bttm rail supprts (left/right side) t the back bttm f the left and right sides using the green pegs. The back tp rail supprts fr the left and right sides are added next, but are a little tricky since they hang halfway ff the back side. The easiest way t put these pieces n is t glue it alng with the back panel tp rail piece (Tp Rail Supp. (back)) since these tw pieces are against each ther. The tp f the first pht belw shws hw these are attached. The ther three phts shw hw the frnt, left and right sides shuld lk after adding the rail supprts.

5 The Middle Sectin included in the full plans. Glue the back uter panel t the back runner. Add Rails Glue the tp rails t the tp f the inside f the left and right inner bx panels. The tps f the rails shuld be flush with the tp f thse bx panels. The ends f the rails shuld be even with the utside f the f the frnt and back inner bx panels.

6 Assemble Tp Panel Test fit that the tp hlder panel slides smthly under the tp rails and sand if neccesary. Yu can temprarily hld the tp hlder panel and the tp runner tgether with the balck peg and make sure this assembly slides ntt he tp f the bx smthly. After everything mves crrectly glue the tp runner t the tp hlder panel using the black (.280 ) pegs. The pegs shuld be flush with the back f the hlder panel and prtrude slighty frm the runner. Then glue the tp uter panel t the runner panel aligning it with black pegs in the runner. Make sure all layers are glued well arund the perimeter s the layers d nt separate. Put sme wax n the sliding surfaces f the pieces and test fit the assembly. Apply Finish If yu are ging t apply finish t the puzzle that shuld be dne nw. Sand the bx, lid and frnt panel with 180/220 sandpaper and put n yur favrite stain/finish and finish with a clear cat. Be careful when applying finish n the frnt and sides f the bx s that the sliders d nt get stuck by the finish. Many light cats f

7 finish and making sure the sliders still mve between cats wrks best. After the finish is dry yu can assemble yur puzzle and yu are dne.
