The central component of the FRION modular kit, the collet, is available in several versions differing in accuracy, area of application and coolant application. The newly developed Maxi RIP igh Performance Power System doubles the already high holding torques of the CNTRO P Precision Collet Chuck and thus enables extreme rough machining. With the specially developed and patented induction technology the range of application of the CNTRO P Precision Collet Chuck is expanded, tool service lives are extended and top surface qualities are achieved. The total system costs are thus reduced. = Maxi RIP - The Intelligent Solution In combination with the CNTRO P, this thermal clamping system enables holding forces of up to 800 Nm and higher to be achieved. For years CNTRO P has set standards in concentricity, dampening, stability and, in 80% of applications, in clamping force, too; the increased demands on the holding torque are now met and even exceeded with Maxi RIP. = Process Reliability with igh Functionality tool is clamped as usual in the CNTRO P using the roller bearing wrench (e.g. with 140 Nm for a 20 mm tool). The nut is subsequently heated up to 150 C within a few seconds by an inductive heat source (380 V). The process thus remains in the low temperature range. The temperature difference provides for a slight expansion of the clamping nut in relation to the collet chuck. fter heating up, the clamping nut is retightened to 140 Nm using the torque wrench. This additional rotation of the clamping nut more than doubles the holding torque. = Precision, Concentricity and ampening Remain Outstanding This enormous increase is not achieved at the expense of precision. With a concentricity of 3 μm (based on a tool with a projection length of 3 x ), the usual FRION quality is retained in full. The advantage of the low temperature range for example in relation to shrinking with up to 300 C and water cooling also lies in the short cooling phase and the cheaper equipment. FRION s cooling solution consists of a simple cooling bath, in which the tool is cooled down to lukewarm within just one minute. It has been veriied that the small temperature differences have no negative effect on the microstructure of the material. The dampening characteristics also remain outstanding, although they are slightly reduced by the thermal clamping. 15 SYNCRO T The Perfectly Optimised Tapping Chuck The SYNCRO T Tapping Chuck compensates differences in pitch between the tap and the synchronous spindle as well as compensating the pitch tolerances of the tap.
