High rigidity The combination of linear guiding and damping systems, together with a high dynamic drive system produces highly stable, high performance machining results. CONSTRUCTION CHARACTERISTICS Combined guiding and damping system The INA linear guiding system with recirculating cylindrical rollers on each axes (X-Y-Z) and our own specially developed hydrostatic damping elements guarantees immense stability and high precision. The guiding system incorporates hydrostatic damping pads between the recirculating cylindrical rollers, which eliminates any vibration during machining processes. This system guarantees high dynamics, minimum maintenance, low heat levels and reduced grease consumption. Driving system The longitudinal axis is driven by two servomotors, two gearboxes and a double rack and pinion. The vertical and cross axes are driven by preloaded ball screws with double recirculating nuts. Its heavy duty design and high dynamics provides the optimum in power and cutting speed capability. 3 SP

This head enables the end user to take advantage of full machine travel: eliminating the need for additional workpiece support fixtures, due to close to table head spindle accessibility for both frontal and lateral milling. Inverse machining: An extra feature on orthogonal heads is machining in negative positions. The machine enables the orthogonal head to be positioned for inverse machining, up to -45º. This eliminates the necessity for additional setups, resulting in improved overall cycle times and finish quality with less component manipulation. Thanks to its configuration, the table provides front and rear access for component fitting. A wide range of accessories can be installed in the work area to improve production capacities such as, for example, extra clamping cubes, squares, rotary tables, etc. Additionally, in compliance with CE safety standards, the machine can be supplied with a full peripheral enclosure. The CNC controller can be installed in the operating cabinet or on a pendant, according to customer preference. PROVEN STABILITY, LOW FOUNDATION COSTS With a continuous presence in the market, SORALUCE provides state-of-the-art fixed table and travelling column machines based on traditional and unique machine architecture: table attached column supported by a separate-rear guide, which improves machine stability, whilst maintaining its centre of gravity very low. The clearance between its longitudinal guides enables operator access to the work area also from the rear side for improved ergonomics during exhaustive component installations or in-process checks. On the other hand clearance space between guides and work area enables very stable machining due to the high vibration absorption capacity of the entire system. In addition, the machine s foundations have been simplified: the entire machine is now installed on the same level, thereby saving on foundation expenses. 6 SP
