However, the use of nhors is not reommended when tthing your enlosure to fierglss unit or wll surrounds with ord reinfored mounting res. Mounting holes in this se should e drilled with n 1/8" drill it. Mounting this unit on tile requires the use of nhors. Speil re must e tken not to rk the tile. efore drilling holes in the tile, lightly hip glzed surfe of tile t the desired lotions. Drill holes using 3/16" msonry drill it. Insert nhors into the holes mking ertin tht ring on lrge end of nhor meets the surfe of the tile. CUTION Do not ttempt to ut mirrors or glss used in this enlosure. Tempered glss nd mirror will shtter if ut. Cre should e tken when stnding rw glss on its edge. Glss my shtter if orners re umped or edge is rested on rough floor surfe. Crdord, wood loks (provided with hrdwre), or similr surfe is sfe resting surfe for glss. CLNING Clening nd re of your enlosure is importnt to its lsting euty. nonrsive liquid lener is reommended. Never use souring powder or pds. SLING Sel unit y ulking long outside of enlosure where metl nd th meet, espeilly where sill meets threshold. If desired, ulk inside of enlosure where jms meet wlls. Kwikstl doors re designed to e reversile nd my e instlled to hinge-left or hinge-right. The following instrutions show hinge-right door. 1 () Due to the mnufturing proess, there my e rk mrks present t one end of your sill. must e trimmed to fit your individul opening. When utting sill, mke ertin to trim off end with rk mrks. Mesure Heder nd sill re identil exept tht the sill hs weep holes on inside surfe. Identify sill with weep holes. Determine plement of sill () on shower threshold. Normlly door is instlled with sill entered on the flt surfe of threshold. Mesure opening t threshold nd ut sill to tht mesurement. If neessry, file shrp edges to fit rounded orners of your unit. Weep holes fe inside of shower. File shrp edges to fit ontour of your unit if needed. Silione Culk 2 () With sill in upside down position, pply 1/4" ed of ulk long ottom of sill. Position sill on threshold with weep holes fing inside of shower. Tpe to threshold with msking tpe to hold in ple while positioning jms. Clen ulk tht squeezes out from under sill with wooden wedge, plsti srper, or popsile stik. Clen ulk tht squeezes out from under sill. Msking Tpe Weep holes fe inside of shower. Threshold

3 3 s () When nhors (H) re used, holes should e drilled using 3/16" drill it. (Use msonry it for tile.) Level L 8 x 1 1/4" Pn Hed Srew Drill 3" from top nd ottom of jm, nd t enter. Position jm () on sill with short legs ginst wll nd ottom of jm inside sill. If neessry, file shrp edges on ottom of jm to fit rounded orners of your unit. lign jm vertilly using level. Drill mounting holes through jm into wll using 1/8" drill it. Mounting holes re normlly loted 3" from top nd ottom of jm nd t enter. File shrp edges to fit rounded orners of your unit if needed. Seure jm to wll using 8 x 1 1/4" pn hed srews (L). Repet for opposite side. 4 Ly door pnel, with hinge door stop tthed, on work tle overed with rdord or rpet. Position so tht hinge door stop swings up s shown. This will e the outside surfe of your door pnel (fing up). djust door on work tle so tht opening edge nd hndle holes extend pst tle edge. Hold metl slide for instlltion lter. With ruer mllet, tp hndle, with mgnet tthed, onto glss. Mgnet should fe inside of shower. Trim s needed so tht ushings re flush with surfe of glss. Ple one plsti wsher on eh onnetor srew nd insert srews (from inside surfe of glss) through ushings in glss. Ple seond plsti wsher on exposed end of onnetor srews on outside surfe of glss. Holding exterior hndle in ple on outside surfe of glss, tighten onnetor srew to seure hndle. Interior Plsti Wsher 3/32 llen Wrenh ushing Connetor Srew Plsti Wsher xterior On inside surfe of glss, slip interior hndle over onnetor srews nd tighten with 3/32" llen wrenh. INSID OF 5 Setting loks (X) / Side Pnels The following instrutions ll for glss to set in vertils 3/8". This distne my e djusted from 1/4" - 1/2" to ommodte out-of-plum wlls nd llow for etter fit of prts. Pnel Glss X Setting loks Setting loks (X) re used in sill to provide resting surfe for pnel glss. Ple one setting lok in sill t edge of wll jm. seond setting lok should e pled in sill to support other orner of pnel glss one glss is pled in unit. Mesure pnel glss nd position remining setting loks ordingly. Ple pnel glss in wll jm with ottom of glss resting on setting loks in sill nd side of glss seted in wll jm 3/8". Ple remining jm (pnel jm) over pnel glss with long legs of jm fitting over edge of glss 3/8", nd ottom of jm seted in sill. Repet for opposite side. Setting loks X Pnel Glss Setting loks X Pnel Glss 6 () / Mgneti Door Stop () Deide whih will e the opening side of your door. Door is normlly instlled to open on the side of unit nerest to showerhed. OVRHD VIW Showerhed Pnel Norml opening side Door Pnel F Vinyl Door Sel fes outside of shower Vinyl door sel (F), in mgneti door stop (), must e removed from hnnel, trimmed into two piees nd repled with metl slide (from mgneti th kit (K) or mgneti pull hndle kit (M)) in etween vinyl piees. Mrk enter of mgneti door stop. Remove vinyl door sel nd trim to fill open hnnel of door stop from sill to 2" elow enter mrk. Reinsert ut vinyl in hnnel. Follow with metl slide nd remining piee of vinyl. Trim vinyl flush with door stop t top. Slide mgneti door stop over jm, with ottom of door stop seted in sill nd vinyl door sel fing outside of shower. For sfety purposes, door should e instlled to open out from shower. INSID OF Chek for even revel of spe t top nd ottom of door glss HORIZONTL CROSS SCTION 11 Horizontl Glzing (Y) Heder Vinyl glzing is used to ushion nd seure glss in metl. There re two types of vinyl glzing inluded in your unit - horizontl (Y) nd vertil (Z). The horizontl glzing is thiker nd will e instlled first. Wter my e used to lurite glzing nd mke instlltion esier. Glzing is designed to fit tightly. wooden lok my e used to press vinyl into ple. Horizontl Glzing Glzing = Mesurement + 1/4" Heder C Mesure width of pnel glss from wll jm to pnel jm nd dd 1/4". Cut 2 piees of horizontl glzing to this mesurement, one for inside nd one for outside of pnel. Press ends of glzing into ple first, fitting glzing into gp etween metl nd glss. Work towrd enter, pressing glzing into ple. Instll glzing for oth side pnels working from outside to inside; ottom to top. Wll Y Horizontl Glzing Pnel Door Pnel

7 12 Vertil Glzing (Z) Mesure length of pnel glss from heder to sill nd dd 1/4. Cut two piees of vertil glzing (Z) nd pply on inside nd outside of pnel etween glss nd jms. Instll glzing for oth side pnels working from outside to inside of pnel. For smoother fit in orners where horizontl nd vertil glzings meet, the ends of vertil glzing my e trimmed t 45 0 ngle. Trim only the exterior ridge of glzing. Do not trim glzing tht fits inside metl one instlled. Glzing = Mesurement + 1/4" nds of vertil glzing my e trimmed t 45 (on exterior ridge only) for smoother fit in orners where vertil nd horizontl glzing meet. Z Vertil Glzing VRTICL CROSS SCTION Vertil Glzing 13 Vinyl Drip Sweep (G) Mesure width of door glss t ottom. Trim vinyl drip sweep (G) to door glss width minus 1/8. Trim only from hinge end of drip sweep. Contour ut end of drip sweep fin to remove shrp point. Drip Sweep length = Door Width minus 1/8 Press drip sweep onto ottom edge of door glss with fin fing inside of shower nd edge of drip sweep flush with edge of glss on hinge side of door. (Drip sweep will e 1/8 from edge of glss on opening side of door.) Fin fes inside of shower. G Vinyl Drip Sweep 14 Culking Culk The use of ulking ompound will ssure wter-tight sel of your enlosure. pply ulk long outside edge of enlosure where metl nd shower meet, espeilly where sill (ottom of enlosure) meets se.
