However, the use of nchors is not recommended when ttching your enclosure to fierglss unit or wll surrounds with ord reinforced mounting res. Mounting holes in this cse should e drilled with n 1/8 drill it. Mounting this unit on tile requires the use of nchors. Specil cre must e tken not to crck the tile. efore drilling holes in the tile, lightly chip glzed surfce of tile t the desired loctions. rill holes using 3/16 msonry drill it. Insert nchors into the holes mking certin tht ring on lrge end of nchor meets the surfce of the tile. CUTIO o not ttempt to cut mirrors or glss used in this enclosure. Tempered glss nd mirror will shtter if cut. Cre should e tken when stnding rw glss on its edge. Glss my shtter if corners re umped or edge is rested on rough floor surfce. Crdord, wood locks (provided with hrdwre), or similr surfce is sfe resting surfce for glss. CLIG Clening nd cre of your enclosure is importnt to its lsting euty. nonrsive liquid clener is recommended. ever use scouring powder or pds. SLIG Sel unit y culking long outside of enclosure where metl nd th meet, especilly where sill meets threshold. If desired, culk inside of enclosure where jms meet wlls. Kwikstl doors re designed to e reversile nd my e instlled to hinge-left or hinge-right. The following instructions show hinge-right door. 1 () ue to the mnufcturing process, there my e rck mrks present t one end of your sill. must e trimmed to fit your individul opening. When cutting sill, mke certin to trim off end with rck mrks. Mesure Heder nd sill re identicl except tht the sill hs weep holes on inside surfce. Identify sill with weep holes. etermine plcement of sill () on shower threshold. ormlly door is instlled with sill centered on the flt surfce of threshold. Mesure opening t threshold nd cut sill to tht mesurement. If necessry, file shrp edges to fit rounded corners of your unit. Weep holes fce inside of shower. File shrp edges to fit contour of your unit if needed. Silicone Culk 2 () With sill in upside down position, pply 1/4 ed of culk long ottom of sill. Position sill on threshold with weep holes fcing inside of shower. Tpe to threshold with msking tpe to hold in plce while positioning jms. Clen culk tht squeezes out from under sill with wooden wedge, plstic scrper, or popsicle stick. Clen culk tht squeezes out from under sill. Msking Tpe Weep holes fce inside of shower. Threshold

3 3 s () When nchors (H) re used, holes should e drilled using 3/16 drill it. (Use msonry it for tile.) Position jm () on sill with short legs ginst wll nd ottom of jm inside sill. If necessry, file shrp edges on ottom of jm to fit rounded corners of your unit. lign jm verticlly using level. rill mounting holes through jm into wll using 1/8 drill it. Mounting holes re normlly locted 3 from top nd ottom of jm nd t center. Level File shrp edges to fit rounded corners of your unit if needed. L 8 x 1 1/4 Pn Hed Screw rill 3 from top nd ottom of jm, nd t center. Secure jm to wll using 8 x 1 1/4 pn hed screws (L). Repet for opposite side. 4 Setting locks (X) / Side Pnel The following instructions cll for glss to set in verticls 3/8. Pnel orml opening side OVRH VIW oor Showerhed ecide which will e the opening side of your door. oor is normlly instlled to open on the side of unit nerest to showerhed. Pnel Glss X Setting locks Setting locks (X) re used in sill to provide resting surfce for pnel glss. On pnel side of unit, plce one setting lock in sill t edge of wll jm. second setting lock should e plced in sill to support opposite corner of pnel glss once glss in plced in unit. Mesure pnel glss nd position remining setting locks ccordingly. Plce pnel glss in wll jm with ottom of glss resting on setting locks in sill, nd side of glss seted in wll jm 3/8. Setting locks X Pnel Glss 5 () / Mgnetic oor Stop () Plce remining jm over pnel glss with long legs of jm fitting over edge of glss 3/8, nd ottom of jm seted in sill. Mgnetic oor Stop Slide mgnetic door stop () over jm, with ottom of door stop seted in sill nd mgnetic strip (F) fcing outside of shower. F Mgnetic Strip fces outside of shower

For sfety purposes, door should e instlled to open out from shower. 5 9 Hndle (M) Hndle for your door my e pre-instlled. If so, disregrd this step nd continue instlltion. Mount pull hndles, from pull hndle kit (M), using 6-32 x 1 1/4 pn hed screws provided. Screw heds should e on the inside of shower x 1 1/4 Pn Hed Screw Interior Hndle M M xterior Hndle 10 ligning / Securing Verticls When drilling or screwing into metl, mke certin tht glss is cler from re. o not hit glss with drill it. Check lignment of door, pnel glss, pnel jm, nd mgnetic door stop. djust s needed so tht door closes evenly, there is n even revel of spce t top nd ottom of door, nd mgnetic slide ligns with hndle mgnet. Once desired lignment of prts hs een chieved, secure prts together from inside of shower using 8 x 3/8 pn hed self-drilling screws (). 8 x 3/8 Pn Hed Self-rilling Screw nd Hinge oor Stop Heder C nd Mgnetic oor Stop c c ttch hinge door stop to wll jm in five loctions - t top of unit, securing heder, jm nd door stop together; t ottom of unit, securing sill, jm nd door stop together; nd t three points evenly spced etween top nd ottom. ttch mgnetic door stop to pnel jm in two loctions - t top, securing heder, mgnetic door stop nd pnel jm together; t ottom, securing sill, mgnetic door stop nd pnel jm together; nd t three points evenly spced etween top nd ottom. ttch opposite wll jm to heder t top nd sill t ottom. ISI OF Check for even revel of spce t top nd ottom of door glss c 11 Horizontl Glzing (Y) Vinyl glzing is used to cushion nd secure glss in metl. There re two types of vinyl glzing included in your unit - horizontl (Y) nd verticl (Z). The horizontl glzing is thicker nd will e instlled first. Wter my e used to luricte glzing nd mke instlltion esier. Glzing is designed to fit tightly. wooden lock my e used to press vinyl into plce. HORIZOTL CROSS SCTIO Heder Horizontl Glzing Glzing = Mesurement + 1/4 Heder C Mesure width of pnel glss from wll jm to pnel jm nd dd 1/4. Cut 2 pieces of horizontl glzing to this mesurement, one for inside nd one for outside of pnel. Press ends of glzing into plce first, fitting glzing into gp etween metl nd glss. Work towrd center, pressing glzing into plce. Repet for inside of shower nd for ottom of pnel on inside nd outside of shower. Wll Y Pnel Horizontl Glzing oor Pnel

6 12 Verticl Glzing (Z) Mesure length of pnel glss from heder to sill nd dd 1/4. Cut two pieces of verticl glzing (Z) nd pply on inside nd outside of pnel etween glss nd jms. Repet for opposite side of pnel glss. For smoother fit in corners where horizontl nd verticl glzings meet, the ends of verticl glzing my e trimmed t 45 0 ngle. Trim only the exterior ridge of glzing. o not trim glzing tht fits inside metl once instlled. Glzing = Mesurement + 1/4 Z Verticl Glzing nds of verticl glzing my e trimmed t 45 (on exterior ridge only) for smoother fit in corners where verticl nd horizontl glzing meet. VRTICL CROSS SCTIO Verticl Glzing 13 rip Ril (G) Clen ottom chnnel of door efore mounting drip ril. fter mounting, do not remove or reposition. llow 72 hours curing time for mximum ond. From inside shower, mesure width of door pnel t ottom. rip ril (G) should e 1/2 shorter thn door pnel width. If longer, cut to proper length. Slide vinyl sweep (G) into slot on ck of drip ril. Trim ends even with edges of drip ril. Smooth cut end of drip cp fin with file to remove shrp point. oor Pnel G rip Ril Hinge Side rip ril flush with edge of oor Pnel 1/4 drop from Opening Side to Hinge Side for dringe 3/4 Position drip ril on inside surfce of door pnel s descried elow: Side-to-side plcement: dge of drip ril should e flush with edge of door pnel on hinge side of door. Verticl plcement: Vinyl sweep should extend 1/2 elow ottom of door pnel on opening side. ngle drip ril so tht vinyl sweep extends 3/4 elow ottom of door pnel on hinge side. This will crete n 1/4 slope from opening to hinge side for wter dringe. Mrk position. Remove drip ril from door. Peel protective cover from tpe, nd press into plce. 1/2 Opening Side G Vinyl Sweep Hinge Side ISI OF rip ril my e dditionlly secured using 8 x 3/8 truss hed screws. When drilling in door pnel, mke certin drill does not hit glss. Glss is seted pproximtely 1/2 into chnnel. 14 Culking Culk The use of culking compound will ssure wter-tight sel of your enclosure. pply culk long outside edge of enclosure where metl nd shower meet, especilly where sill (ottom of enclosure) meets se.
