3 This document has 3 major sections: Using This Document Instructions: This section contains information on Required Materials, Using the Miniature Selection Sheet, Basic Miniature Assembly and Mounted Miniature Assembly, plus special assembly instructions for the following miniatures: Arachnorider, Dire Bat, Fungal Slime, Gelatinous Cube, and Troll. Catalog: The catalog shows the miniatures included in this set along with their code for the miniature selection sheet and a list of all variants. Miniature Selection Sheet: This is where you select and print your miniatures. Make sure to read the section on Using the Miniature Selection Sheet before using for the first time. The Gelatinous Cube is found on a seperate sheet following the Miniature Selection Sheet. Note 1: This document has been bookmarked for your convenience. All sections can be accessed via the bookmarks panel Note 2: Bases and base assembly instructions can be found in the Pixel Mini Base Station document. Required Materials Required Materials: All miniatures in this set can be assembled with the following materials. Glue Stuck: An extra strength glue stick is preferable. Any low moisture glue will work well too. Scissors: All Paper Dungeon miniatures can be cut out with common household scissors. Optional Materials: The following materials may be required for optional assembly steps, but are not required. Hobby Knife: Experienced users may wish to cut miniatures out with a hobby knife. Tape: Clear tape is used in the optional step of reinforcing the miniature s base tab. Black Felt Tipped Marker: Used for edging the miniatures. Highly Recomend Materials: The following materials are not nessesary but are highly recomended. Tacky Glue: Extra or super thick tacky glue is highly recomended for use in the assembly of 3D miniatures as well as attaching pieces to semi-3d miniatures. Tacky glue can be easily found at craft stores or via the internet.

4 Using the Miniature Selection Sheet Miniature Information When viewing miniatures in the catalog, each miniature will have a block of informational text below it as shown to the right. Name: The name of the miniature. Code: Represents the group and number where that miniature can be found on the Miniature Selection Sheet. In the example above, the Horse is the 3rd miniature in group H. The code may also specify how many miniature slots a miniature takes up and Code Horse H-3 (2 slots. All excl. 4, 8) 1: Chestnut/Dun/Grey/Cream 2: Standard/Barded Variants on which slots the miniature is available. In the example the code is followed by (2 slots. All excl. 4, 8), this means the Horse takes 2 slots and is available on all slots excluding slots 4 and 8. Variants: A list of available variants for the specified miniature. Variants are separated with slashes and will be either tiered (shown above) or standard. Tiered variants are numbered and will cycle through each 2nd tier variant for each 1st tier variant. So in the example shown above the variants will cycle Chestnut Standard, Chestnut Barded, Dun Standard, Dun Barded, etc. Standard variants are unnumbered and will cycle in the order shown Name Using the Button Panel When accessing the Miniature Selection Sheet you will see several button panels as pictured in image 1.1. To select a miniature group: Click the lettered button that corresponds with that group. This will gray out the group selection buttons and bring up the miniature selection buttons for that group (image 1.2) To select miniatures: Click the button corresponding with that miniature. To view variants of miniatures: Click on the miniature, this will cycle through each available variant for that miniature. To return to the group selection buttons: Click the grayed out group selection area. This will clear out your current selection, remove the miniature selection buttons and re-enable the group buttons. Printing your miniatures: Simple select Print from the file menu, the buttons are all non-printing. C

5 Basic Miniature Assembly Step 1: Cut out the miniature as shown. When cutting, cut along the bottom and sides of the base tab. Step 2: Fold the base tabs outward, cutting along the top of the base tab up to the black outline will make this as well as step 3 easier. Next fold the miniature along the fold line, use the base tabs or a light source to make sure the sides are even. Step 3: Glue the two sides together, when applying glue make sure to cover the entire area of the black outline. Once the glue has dried, cut out the miniature along the black outline Edging (Optional): With a black felt tipped marker, fill in the white edge of the figure see above image for example. Reinforcing and Shaping the Base Tab (Optional): Apply a small piece of tape to the bottom of the base tab and trim. You may also wish to cut the ends of the base tab to points, this makes inserting the miniature into the base easier. Final Assembly: Insert the miniature into the base. If you re having trouble, flex the base to open the slot wider. Once your miniature is completed, proceed to adventure.

6 Special Assembly Instructions: Arachnorider Step 1: Print and cut out the pieces as shown. Note: The Arachnorider takes up an entire row and is only available on slots 1 and 5 the first slot in each row. Step 2: Fold and glue the 4 leg sections as shown. Assemble the body section as per the Basic Miniature Assembly instructions. Step 3: Cut out the leg sections as shown is figure 3 and edge is desired. There are two types of legs sections: The leg sections with the wider gap are the Outer Legs, those with the thinner are the Inner Legs Step 4: Fold the Inner Legs section as shown in figure 4.1 and attach to the indicated area on the Outer Legs section. The bottoms of both legs sections should be even as shown in figure 4.3. Set aside and allow to dry. Step 5: Fold the attached Outer and Inner legs sections as shown in figure 5.1 and attach to the body section on the indicated area. Note: It may be helpful to do this step with the miniature on a base to help ensure the legs are even. Step 6: Repeat steps 4 and 5 with the opposite side and let dry. Once dry, fold out the legs as shown in figure 5. Note: If you do not wish to use your Arachnorider with a base you may simply cut off the post and base tabs, as long as they are attached firmly and straight, the legs will support the miniature.

7 Special Assembly Instructions: Dire Bat Step 1: Print and cut out the pieces as shown. Note: The Dire Bat takes 3 miniature slots and is only available on slots 1 and 5. Step 3: Cut out the wings, edge if desired, and fold up the tabs as shown in figure 3. Step 2: Fold and glue the wings as shown. Assemble the body with the Basic Miniature Assembly instructions. If assembling the pocket base variant see step P1-P3 below. O2.1 O2.3 O2.2 Step P1: Cut out the mounted miniature as shown in figure 1. Step P2: Fold the body segment along the top fold line and fold in the 2 pocket base tabs as shown in figure 2. Make sure the pocket base tabs line up. 4 Step 4: Attach the wing by the tab to the indicated area on the body as shown in figure 4.1. Repeat with the other wing. Trim off the small white area and re-edge as shown in figure 4.2 Optional Step 1: Fold the wings slightly along the fingers, this will give the wings a more natural shape. Optional Step 2: Depending on materials used, your bat may be wobbly. To correct this use the included supports. Fold and glue the supports as shown in figure O2.1. Once dry, trim off all white areas and edge if desired. Glue the supports to the sides of the post as shown in figure O2.3. For best results, do this with the miniature mounted on a base. Pocket Base Assembly Instructions Step P3: Glue pocket base tabs down as shown in figure 3.1. Glue and fold the body segment as shown in figure 3.2. Make sure not to glue the pocket base tabs together, or else the figure will not fit onto the elevation post. Procede to step 3 above to finsh assembly.
