3 Page 3 Sweet 16 I love this poem, so I made a little shadow box frame for my middle daughter who will be celebrating her 16th birthday next month. The colors in the kit this month are perfect to make sweet, girly flowers, and with all of the blue included it was even better that is her fave color. The poem was printed on the blue cardstock, then cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die, inked on the edges with charcoal, and popped up with pop dots. I layered the blue vellum over some light blue Swiss dot patterned paper I had here, painted the frame white, and added a bow. All I have to do is wrap it!

I added some of the orange ribbon to go with the fish, made a bobber and even a hook; which was made from jewelry findings.

Next I raided the garage for some sandpaper to make the sand for the bottom of the bowl. The blue vellum was cut smaller to give the illusion of water in the bowl. I added some of the orange ribbon to go with the fish, made a bobber and even a hook; which was made from jewelry findings. Layered Magnet: I recycled the magnet from one of those long to do note pads for this project. Those are very strong and I could not bring myself to just throw it away-lol! Using my new Spellbinder pendants fleur de lis die, I cut out the layers from the double sided orange cardstock. I used pop dots to build the layers up, and then added the mini flowers. To finish the design off, I added some of the pretty ribbon. I think this will be a present for my youngest.she wants to hang it in her locker when school starts.

Page 5 Ring Bearer Pillow I knew right away what I would create for my projects this month when I saw the soft pastel colors of the parchment strips.

I arranged the simple one and two layer, two shades of quilled flowers and leaves in a circle and added some punched vellum flowers with pearls.

It will be kept for my yet-to-be married daughters and granddaughters to use in their weddings if they wish!

5 Page 5 Ring Bearer Pillow I knew right away what I would create for my projects this month when I saw the soft pastel colors of the parchment strips. I love to find new ways of embellishing items with quilling and thought that even though it was made of paper, that I could pair it with a fabric. I arranged the simple one and two layer, two shades of quilled flowers and leaves in a circle and added some punched vellum flowers with pearls. There is a ribbon bow and tails to tie the rings in the center. I also added the same quilled flowers to the corners of the pillow. I think that paper and fabric work well in this project. It will be kept for my yet-to-be married daughters and granddaughters to use in their weddings if they wish! Wedding Ensemble I couldn t stop making items for a wedding and made favor boxes shaped as a cake slice and bride/bridesmaid. The quilled flowers are the same as the pillow, but some have button centers or different ribbon is used to show the variety of looks. The place card with its quilled flowers would be a special addition to a reception table and you could even use the same on the menus.

September Calendar Page: Well, we have come to the end of our calendar, and I can t believe that it has been a year already!

6 Page 6 con t from pg5 Bride s Journal and Favor Cone: Finishing up the wedding projects is a purchased journal that I adorned with more of the same quilled flowers, changing it up with crystal centers and heart-shaped leaves. The bride can use this journal to keep all of her wedding to-do lists or memories in. The cone favor features a quilled bouquet with button centers and a little blossom on the tip for a less formal feel, perfect for a bridal shower. September Calendar Page: Well, we have come to the end of our calendar, and I can t believe that it has been a year already! The bright summery cardstock in the kit was perfect for pink and purple rhododendrons. The small sakura flower punch was used for these pretty blossoms. I have had fun creating this perpetual calendar and will love visiting them again this coming year by just replacing the month panel with the current year!

Sonya Wow, another kit that inspires many projects. I used the strips for a wedding theme, but their soft pastels would be perfect for a tea party, a baby shower, or a shabby chic luncheon!
