W think it is a nic farwll and rminds us of why Mr. D was such a popular tachr with his studnts. H will b missd, but w wish him th bst of luck at St. Anslm School. Mr. DiNubila, bttr known as Mr. D, is th middl school English tachr and our ight-grad homroom tachr. H was born and grw up in Quns, Nw York in an ara calld Collg Point, a nighborhood similar to our own Sunnysid. H playd a lot of sports whn growing up. Whn h graduatd from collg, h was vry intrstd in films, influncd by his lov of th movi Th Godfathr, and workd as a frlanc P.A. (production assistant). H also workd as a waitr, a movr for a moving company, in a vido stor, and as a camp counslor (which dvlopd his lov for kids.) Howvr, h didn t njoy th P.A. job. His fathr, who was a tachr himslf, ncouragd him to gt a job taching. So Mr. D applid for a job as a tachr at a Nw York high school and was intrviwd for it. (Continud on pag 2) 1

H lovs activitis such as rtrats, pp rallis, and talnt shows. Mr. D has a vry distinctiv styl of taching, which is a mixtur of traditional and progrssiv. H liks to giv studnts a lot of options for thir assignmnts, and liks doing crativ things. As Mr. D says: Larning should b fun, in my opinion. His last favorit part of taching is grading paprs. His favorit subjct in school was English, mostly bcaus his tachrs mad it intrsting for him. f Mr. D could transform into any animal, h would turn into a bird. To this day, Mr. D s favorit vido gam is Mik Tyson s Punch Out!, which h has nvr batn (no pun intndd). H claims that if h wr in th scrt socity, Th lluminati, h could not tll us. Also, thr is a vry high probability h is part of th Triangl Loving Organization. Mr. D has a fascination with rcords, mainly bcaus his parnts ownd lots of thm whn h was a kid. H thinks that rcords ar bttr than CDs. His favorit song is You ar my Sunshin, bcaus it maks him think of his daughtr, Oliv. H blivs that bing a parnt is th bst thing vr. Mr. D is also a lovr of th colors grn and blu. 4 W REEV VEW VDEO GAME REVEW: SHADOW OF MORDOR By Grg Saccon Shadow of Mordor is an action-advntur gam in th sam vin of gams lik Assassin s Crd and Batman Arkham. t combins lmnts from both gams, lik th combat and mission styl, but adds nough faturs to mak it frsh and xciting. Probably th bst of ths faturs is th Nmsis systm. Th Nmsis systm allows a lowly orc to bcom a far warlord. Whn an orc kills you, it lvls up in powr and bcoms a captain. Captains fight with ach othr to lvl up into a warlord, on of th main fiv ladrs of th orcs. This rally crats rivalris btwn th playr and th orc captains. You will probably di ovr and ovr to a rally tough orc, and finally dfating him is a grat fling. Howvr, th Nmsis Systm is only on good thing about this gam. Th combat is supr fluid and brutal, allowing you to dispatch nmis in th middl of combat. Throw in a bunch a wraith powrs lik slow motion, tlporting to orcs, and vn turning thm onto your sid, and you hav som amazing gamplay. So th gam plays grat and all, but how s vrything ls? Wll, th nvironmnts ar rally good too, ranging from dsolat plains to lush forsts. Th story is about Talion, a rangr who dis along with his wif and son, but gts rsurrctd by a wraith. H and th wraith go on a rvng spr, battling a bunch of orcs and mting intrsting charactrs lik Gollum along th way. You will nvr run out of things to do in this gam, from collcting plants to finding artifacts to just fighting orc captains. Ovrall, hav to say, this is probably my favorit gam of MOVE REVEW: BG HERO 6 By Matthw Clifford Big Hro 6 is a fun family advntur for kids. Howvr sasond movigors will notic th formulaic plot. t follows th basic pattrn of a family frindly rvng story. Th animation in this movi is xcllnt. Th voic acting is chsy but giv thm a brak bcaus it s not lik th actors wr givn th bst writing to work off of. Th sid charactrs ar painfully cliché. Thy vn thrw in th typical spacd out comic rlif charactr. Th story is vry prdictabl 4 St. Finn Barr Catholic School Journalism Club it took m 15 minuts to figur out what was going to happn. Ovrall, th movi was unoriginal but kids will lov it. On a sid not, th Disny short film Fast that was aird bfor Big Hro 6 was prtty good. Th hand drawn styl lookd bautiful and admir th way Disny can tll an animatd story with using a singl word.
