Playrs gain victory points by upgrading thir land valu, by housing Sttlrs and hlping thm bcom Apprntics and Guild Mastrs (it s always good to hav frinds in influntial placs), and by fulfilling various dmands from th Ston Council. At th nd of 10 rounds, th playr with th most victory points rplacs Brk th Clrk as Had of th Ston Council and wins th gam. Gamplay EACH ROUND HAS PHASES 1. PREPARATION: Rolling Dic Each playr rolls th dic of thir color. 2. ACTIONS: Taking Turns Playrs tak thir turns in clockwis ordr, starting with th playr with th First Playr markr. On a TURN you can prform any or all of ths actions onc: Plac a di on a location and tak th associatd action. Complt a Sttlrs card. Sll a Building. You may prform ths actions in any ordr. Playrs continu taking turns until vryon has placd all of thir dic or rachd thir rputation limit and cannot plac mor dic. Aftr vry playr passs, mov to th Incom phas. 3. Each lot can hold 1 Hous and fulfill on Sttlrs card. You can build a maximum of Houss.. Community Building Lot: Plac purchasd Community Buildings on ths lots.. Rputation track: Kp track of your rputation REPUTATION It s important to kp up your good nam in th City and maintain good rlations with High Qun Tabita. Your rputation is trackd on th Rputation track on your Playr Board. All playrs start with a rputation of 9. Your rputation rprsnts th valu of dic you can play in on round. You cannot plac dic with a total valu gratr than your currnt rputation. Always chck your currnt rputation bfor placing a di. You always roll all dic at th bginning of th round and choos throughout th round which dic to us. If you tak an action that incrass or dcrass your rputation, your nw dic valu limit taks ffct immdiatly aftr you plac your di. If a dcras causs your placd dic valu to xcd your limit, it dosn t affct th actions you hav alrady playd. Exampl: Kvin rolls:, 2, 3, 2, and his currnt rputation is 11. 5 NOBILITY As your Nobility riss, you will unlock nw bnfits and gain additional nd-gam Victory Points. You can mov up th Nobility track by complting Sttlrs cards and buying Buildings. Each allows you to mov up on spac. In ordr to bcom a Lord, you must rach lvl. Whn you rach lvl 12, you bcom a Whit Lord. CHARACTER CARDS Each playr assums th rol of a landownr. Thr ar various charactrs, including a local bandit, a mrchant chif, a guard tc. Each Charactr has th ability to spnd Good from a crtain typ whn complting a Sttlrs card. For that typ of Good a playr can spnd Goods instad of th normal limit of 3 Goods pr typ. This ability is availabl from th start of th gam and can b playd an unlimitd numbr of tims throughout th gam. Locations in th City Thr ar many locations in th bautiful city of Cavborn whr you can plac your dic in ordr to prform actions or gain bnfits. DICE PLACEMENT Th slots on th board rquir you to plac a di of a crtain valu. You can only plac a di on an opn slot. Th di fills th slot and rmains on it for th rmaindr of th round. Dic cannot b combind. You may plac only on di pr turn. 6 Sttlrs Cards Th Sttlrs cards rprsnt th familis and groups that hav com to Cavborn looking for a bttr lif. Each group has crtain rquirmnts (Goods) thy want for thir hous and a spcific budgt (Victory Points) thy ar prpard to spnd for thir accommodation. COMPLETING A SETTLERS CARD To complt a Sttlrs card you must: Mov a Hous from your Construction Platform to a Hous Lot on your Playr Board. (Onc movd, th Hous cannot b usd for any othr Sttlrs card.) Spnd th Goods listd on th card by rturning thm to th gnral supply. Whn complting th card you must spnd at last 1 Good of ach typ listd on th card, but no mor than 3 woodn cubs pr typ. (Your Charactr card allows you to spnd on xtra Good of a crtain typ). Th numbr of Goods you spnd must fall within th minimum and maximum numbr of Goods rquird. Construction Yard On of th rquirmnts for complting a Sttlrs card is to hav a Hous associatd with that card. You can buy Houss at th Construction Yard. In ordr to buy a Hous you must pay Coins and follow ths dic placmnt ruls: Dic ar placd on th slots in ordr from lft to right. Th numbr of availabl di slots is qual to th numbr of playrs. Th di placd in th first slot can b any valu. Othr dic must hav a valu qual to or lowr than th prviously placd di. With ach di placmnt, you can buy 1 Hous. Gain Victory Points from th Community Buildings on your land (if you hav any). Exampl: Ryan has Sttlrs with a budgt of 8 12 that rquir Furnishings, Wapons, Magic Itms, and Books. To fulfill thir dmand, Ryan nds to spnd at last 1 of ach typ of Good thy nd (in this cas ) and spnd a total numbr of Goods within th Sttlrs dmands (from 8 12). H cannot spnd mor than 3 Goods of any typ of Good. If h chooss to go for thir maximum dmand and gain th maximum VP from this card (12), h must spnd 3 Goods of ach of th typs. By spnding 12 Goods h ll scor 12 points. If h chooss to mt thir minimum dmand and scor 8 points, h could spnd 3 Furnishings, 2 Wapons, 1 Magic, and 2 Books. Or h could spnd som othr combination of Goods. Th sam ruls apply if h chooss to spnd a numbr of Goods btwn th minimum and maximum (9, 10, or 11). Do not discard your compltd Sttlrs cards. ACTIVATE WORKSHOPS Whn you plac a di in a Guild, you immdiatly activat crtain Workshops that hav bn built in th Guild (if thr ar any). You may choos to rciv th bnfit shown on th Building til. Th Workshops activat from lft to right. If you plac a di with valu 1 or 2, you activat th first Workshop on th lft. If you plac a di with valu 3 or, you activat th first and scond Workshop from th lft. If you plac a di with valu or, you activat all thr Workshops. Whn a Workshop is activatd, th ownr of th Workshop rcivs th rward shown on th board abov th Workshop. If a playr activats thir own Workshop, thy do not rciv th ownrship rward. Thr ar 3 bnfits from placing Apprntics in th Guilds. Th bnfits tak ffct on your nxt turn. FREE GOODS Whn you buy Goods from a Guild, you rciv on xtra Good of that typ for fr for vry Apprntic you hav in that Guild. If you don t buy Goods, you don t rciv xtra Goods from your Apprntics. Plac th Workshop in th corrsponding Guild on th lftmost availabl Workshop slot. 2. Plac on of your Apprntics from that Guild on top of it to claim ownrship of th Workshop. 3. Mov as many spacs up on th Nobility track as thr ar stars on th Workshop slot.. Gain th Victory Point rward shown on th Workshop slot Mov 2 spacs up on th Nobility track (as shown by th stars on th lot spac) During th Incom phas rciv th rward shown abov your built Community Buildings Plac a Workr from th Workrs Lot on top of th Community Building. BUYING AND PLACING WORKSHOPS You can buy a Workshop only if you hav an Apprntic (mpl) in th Guild associatd with that Workshop. Aftr you buy a Community Building, do th following: SELLING A WORKSHOP OR COMMUNITY BUILDING On your turn, you can sll a building as a fr action. This action is not associatd with a location in th city or a spcific di placmnt. If you sll a Workshop, immdiatly: Gain 3 Coins. Los th VP you gaind by placing th Workshop.
