3 Product Line Decription Claic Line Linear olenoid of the Kendrion Claic Line are univeral and cot-effective actuating olenoid ideally uited for ue in preciion engineering and indutrial application. Thee olenoid are ued in the tranportation indutry, automation engineering and material handling. Particular advantage are the individual mounting option, the maintenance-free armature bearing and the compact deign. The mode of operation of the olenoid i baed on the force exerted on ferromagnetic bodie in the magnetic filed. Electromagnet tranform electric energy into mechanical kinetic energy. Baically, the troke movement take place from the troke tarting poition to the troke top poition (active direction of movement), while the armature reet i accomplihed by external force, e.g. by pring, weight or magnetic force (paive direction of movement). The olenoid can be intalled in any poition, but the force tranfer hould be in axial direction only. The power indicated i reached at 90% of the rated voltage and in warmed-up condition. The value for the duty cycle are reference value and apply for rated voltage, warmed-up condition and load with 70% of the magnetic force of the device. RoHS: Retriction of Hazardou Subtance. A the pring i mounted to the outide of the olenoid thi acceory cannot be mounted to the model IP54 with bellow. In larger quantitie the pring et can be delivered preaembled with the olenoid. 31 Acceorie Plug-in connector acc. DIN EN The 2-pole plug-in connector with protective lead i a connection pecially deigned for electro-magnetic device. The cable outlet can be rotated 4 x 90 by inerting the contact carrier accordingly. After attaching the plug-in connector to the pin plate of the device plu ealing it i ecured with a machine crew upplied. Thi guarantee an exact eal of the combination and prevent the plug-in connector from being accidentally detached under vibration. A cable gland Pg 11 (material no ) erve to eal the cable. 32 Claic Line Acceorie Switching device TYPE A00 The ue of thee witching device with overexcitation erve to increae the attraction force and to reduce the repone time of electromagnetically operated actuator. Depending on the deign thee witching device can alo be ued in economy mode circuit. Supplying the actuator with a higher current for a limited time when witiching on and ubequently lowering the voltage to the holding voltage reult in a number of operational advantage: increaed attraction force, fater witching time, lower energy conumption, le temperature rie and higher life expectancy. The holding voltage can be adjuted by a potentiometer. The power upply to the actuator i indicated by mean of an LED. The device i protected againt tranient urge voltage and polarity reveral. By integrating thi device into a valve connector it i poible to connect it to all actuator with plug acc. DIN EN (DIN 43650). CE Thee product comply with the EMC Directive 89/336/ EEC and the Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC. In accordance with the Machinery Directive 98/37/EEC the product are component which may not be operated until the conformity of the machine, into which thee compoment are intalled, with the EC directive ha been etablihed. Intallation Note During the overexcitation time the operating voltage (minu approx. 1.5 V) i applied to the actuator, afterward it i witched according to the holding voltage. Make ure that the total power input doe not exceed the rated power of the device connected. Remove the witching device from the actuator only after the power upply ha been diconnected. The device mut only be operated within it limit a otherwie an overload may occur. Switching off the power upply during the overexcitation time (after le than 100 m) i not permiible a a permanent olution becaue thi might lead to an overload. Warning! The device mut be et and operated in uch a way that the value for maximum overexcitation current, maximum holding current and maximum witching frequency, a given in the technical pecification, are not exceeded and the minimum recovery time i maintained. Setting: Ue a crewdriver (blade 2.5 x 0.5 mm) to et the holding voltage. The holding voltage can be meaured by connecting a multimeter between connection 1 and 2. 32

34 Claic Line Acceorie Fork head acc. DIN Fork head are ued to connect all type of linear olenoid to force-tranfer element uch lever, puh bar, valve flap and liding damper. In many cae they enable rapid connection during aembly and alo quick replacement of wear and pare part. With type without nap-on fork pin the force-tranfer between fork head and operating part i achieved by mean of a cylindrical pin with the uual locking element. The ue of a fork head with nap-on fork pin reult in a quickly aembled and readily detachable connection (no tool required) between the linear olenoid and the component. The fork head are electrogalvanied.. Intallation Note With it thread the fork head i crewed to the pull or puh bar of the linear olenoid and ecured with a locknut.
