Lithium thioyl Chloride battery will be preferred. In case battery removal or total discharge same should not affect the working & memory of the meter even in case of single wire power condition. Meters are designed for a life of maximum 10 years with a replacement guarantee of 5.5 years. Hence request to please align the battery life requirements accordingly. Further, in case of removal of battery or total discharge: a. It would not impact the energy recording during mains availability. b. But in case of single wire tamper and energy recording will not happen. Please clarify the use case perceived in this condition for meter. Also Single wire is not applicable in three phase meter. Lithium ion battery with guaranteed shelf life of 3 years and capacity life of 10 years. Lithium thioyl Chloride battery will be preferred. In case battery removal or total discharge same should not affect the working & memory of the meter even in case of single wire power condition.

Each pallet should contain between 70 and 300 meters. The actual number of meters on each pallet will be agreed with the BYPL in the event of order. h. An impact detector ("Shock-Watch") label shall be attached to the cardboard hood of several pallets in each container/ transport truck, to warn of possible rough handling during shipment, transport and storage. The meters will be transported in land so such comprehensive and costly packing with pallet is not required. The bidder anyways guarantees the proper packing and foolproof delivery of product. Packing: a. Each meter must be packed, together with its terminal cover, in a separate environmental friendly cardboard box, which can be opened and re-closed without needing adhesives. b. Up to 10 single-phase meters in case of meter type 1 and 5 no s meters with enclosure in case of meter type 2 must be packed together with their terminal covers in a group cardboard box, which can be opened and reclosed without needing adhesives. g. Each pallet should contain between 40 and 120 meters. The actual number of meters on each pallet will be agreed with the BYPL in the event of order. h. Visual indications (stickers) shall be attached to the cardboard hood of several pallets in each container/ transport truck, to warn of possible rough handling during shipment, transport and storage.

7 36 Volume II/ commercial/section- I/38.2 Performance Guarantee: Within 15 days of the receipt of Notification of Award/ Letter of Intent/PO from the Purchaser, the successful Bidder shall furnish the Performance Bank Guarantee for an amount of 5% (Five percent) of the Contract Price in accordance with the format provided. The Performance Bond shall be valid for a period of Eighty Four months (84) from the date of the commissioning or Ninety months (90) from the last date of receipt of material (last consignment) at site/stores whichever is earlier plus 3 months towards claim period. Performance Bank Guarantee for an amount of 5% (Five Amended clause is as underpercent) of the Contract EX-WORKS (Basic) Price in accordance with the format provided.
