12 INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1 Fold the towel in thirds lengthwise. Press creases down to the horizontal center. STEP 2 Fold the towel in half lengthwise and press a crease to mark the center of the towel without removing the creases created in Step 1. Open out the towel, wrong side up, on an ironing surface. Fold the top corner of the towel from the outer crease to the center crease at an angle. The bottom of the angle should be the horizontal center of the towel. Press. STEP 3 Repeat step 2 for the opposite side. 12

13 INSTRUCTIONS STEP 4 Open the towel and mark 1 from the diagonal lines toward the corners. STEP 5 Fuse two layers of Ultra Clean and Tear Fusible, one at a time, at least 2 larger than the hoop size over the design area on the back of the towel. On the right side of the towel mark a vertical line down the center front and a horizontal line 6 from the top of the towel. STEP 6 Hoop the towel aligning the marks on the towel with the marks on the hoop or hoop template. 13

14 INSTRUCTIONS STEP 7 Move the hoop to align the design crosshair with the needle in the center of the design. STEP 8 Cover the design area with StitcH2O, tape in place if desired. Stitch the design. When complete, remove excess stabilizer by tearing away from the design area. It is not necessary to remove all traces of Ultra Clean and Tear Fusible since remnants will go away with laundering. STEP 9 Trim off the corners of the towel marked in Step 4 and use overlock stitch to finish the raw edge or use a serger or overlock machine. Fold back in place at the fold line and press to flatten. 14

15 INSTRUCTIONS STEP 10 Close the casing by stitching 3/4 from the folded edges of each side of the apron. STEP 11 Use Alligator Clamps, a bodkin or your favorite method for feeding a single length of ribbon through the casing. Start at one of the lower sides going up and out at the next then down the next side. STEP 12 Pull through enough ribbon to be able to tie it in the back. 15
