Staff Training (3-hour class) This class is designed for shop owners and employees, and is customized by the educator to the machines carried by the rep and to the needs of the staff. It is taught from the perspective of the retailer with the goals of demonstrating and selling Handi Quilter machines and products. Checklist for machine setup, maintenance and display How to demo each machine How to use machine accessories (micro handles, groovy board stylus, laser light) Basic identification and use of gadgets How to close a sale Handi Quilter Demo Day (equals two 3-hour classes) Designed to attract prospective new owners, 20-minute to 30-minute machine demos are scheduled up to six times throughout the day, based on machines carried by the rep. Demos cover machine features and highlights, followed by hands-on test drives. An optional trunk show creates excitement by showing new customers what is possible, and gives current owners the chance to showcase their work to encourage newbies. Note that this format is designed for sales events, such as a truckload sales or open house. It is not a teaching event.
