29 Using Everyday Tools: Stitch Regulation Mode Precision Stitch 1. The needle will not start moving until you move the machine. 2. The needle stops sewing immediately when the machine stops moving. (Even in the middle of a stitch) Why Precision? Ruler work such as stitch in the ditch, piano keys, curves Precise control of the needle movement Edge to edge quilting

30 Using Everyday Tools: Stitch Regulation Mode Cruise Stitch 1. When you press start on the handles the machine will immediately start stitching at the percent speed indicated below the cruise button. 2. The cruise speed is the minimum speed the machine will stitch regardless of how slow you are pushing the machine. Why Cruise? To slowly backstitch or stitch over the top of previous stitching such as feathers, or creating sharp points at the point of a star or bottom of a heart Edge to edge quilting

31 Using Everyday Tools: Manual Mode Manual 1. When you press start on the handle the machine will immediately start stitching at the percent speed indicated on the screen, ranging from 5% to 100% of the maximum speed. 2. In Manual, the quilter sets the needle speed and regulates the stitch length according to how fast the machine is being moved. Why Manual? Micro quilting Edge to edge quilting Preference
